Viral herpes is a common herpes, especially herpes caused by the varicella virus. There are many mature methods in medicine for the treatment of viral herpes. Patients do not need to look for some folk remedies for treatment, and they need to pay attention to their own hygiene during the treatment process. Treatments for herpes include: 1. Superficial punctate keratitis and dendritic keratitis The antiviral drugs acyclovir (acyclovir, ACV, 0.1% eye drops and 3% eye ointment) and ganciclovir (ganciclovir, GCV, 0.1% to 3% eye drops) are frequently used for eye drops, but their efficacy is still uncertain. For patients with more severe conjunctivitis, glucocorticoid eye drops can be used concurrently. In addition, antibacterial eye ointment should be applied to prevent mixed infection. 2. Discoid stromal keratitis The main treatment methods are glucocorticoids (0.1% dexamethasone, 0.1% fluorometholone) eye drops or subconjunctival injections. The principle of eye drops is to use the lowest concentration and the least number of eye drops that can control symptoms. 3. Kerato-uveitis or iridocyclitis In addition to atropine mydriasis and glucocorticoids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents such as indomethacin should also be taken orally. Long-term local and systemic use of glucocorticoids can inhibit the immune response, causing the disease to worsen or the virus to spread, so they must be used with caution. 4. Neuroparalytic corneal ulcer Stop using antiviral drugs and glucocorticoid eye drops. Antibacterial eye drops should also be prohibited because they contain preservatives. Topical application of preservative-free artificial tears or epithelial growth factor (egf, bfgf), gauze bandage, wearing soft corneal contact lenses or temporary eyelid suture all have certain effects. 5. Adhesive keratitis Topical application of glucocorticoids can control further iritis and stromal keratitis. At the same time, the application of collagenase inhibitor eye drops (10% acetylcysteine) can dissolve sticky plaques. If necessary, local artificial tears can be used or temporary eyelid suture can be performed. |
