There are many types of stomach diseases, and gastric ulcer is one of them. Generally speaking, this disease will have obvious symptoms, causing stomach discomfort. Patients with such symptoms should be examined in time. If treatment is delayed, gastric perforation and gastric bleeding may occur. 1. Complex ulcer The presence of both gastric and duodenal ulcers is called combined ulcers. It is usually caused by duodenal ulcer, which causes pyloric emptying obstruction and antral waterlogging, followed by gastric ulcer. Complex ulcers have a longer course, more severe symptoms, and are prone to bleeding or pyloric obstruction. 2. Multiple ulcers Generally, there is only one ulcer in a case of ulcer. If there are 2 to 3 ulcers at the same time, it is called multiple ulcers. 3. Giant ulcer If the ulcer is larger than 2.0 cm in diameter, it is called a giant ulcer. Giant ulcers may be complicated by perforation of the posterior gastric wall and involvement of the pancreas, and are often misdiagnosed as pancreatic cancer. 4. Stress ulcer Ulcers are caused by acute damage, bleeding, erosion and necrosis of the gastrointestinal mucosa due to trauma, major surgery, craniocerebral diseases, severe infection or drugs. The disease usually occurs about 10 days after stress and can occur at any age, regardless of gender. Before the onset of the disease, there is often a history of trauma, major surgery, severe infection, etc. Massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding often occurs, manifested by vomiting blood and melena. The onset is usually sudden, often without prodromal signs and difficult to stop bleeding. In addition, there may be digestive system symptoms such as upper abdominal pain, abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, and acid reflux, but they are milder than general gastric and duodenal ulcers. The diagnosis can be confirmed by gastroscopy or double barium test. In addition to symptomatic treatment, the primary disease should be actively treated. 5. Anastomotic ulcer Also known as marginal ulcer, it is prone to occur after gastric or duodenal surgery. It is mostly located at the anastomosis and appears as a round or oval ulcer, either single or multiple, and usually occurs 2-3 years after surgery. |
