What is the reason for bright red blood in the stool without pain

There are many reasons for bloody stools. The most common ones are anal diseases, rectal diseases, colon diseases, or systemic diseases such as leukemia, aplastic anemia, etc., which may cause this symptom.

1. Anal disease: Anal disease is the most common cause of bleeding in stool. Bleeding in stool caused by hemorrhoids and anal fissures is dripping blood after defecation. In severe cases, bleeding may be spurting out. The blood is bright red and does not mix with feces. Bleeding in stool caused by anal fissures is often accompanied by anal pain after defecation. Hemorrhoid bleeding often occurs when a person strains to defecate, with a small lump protruding from the anus and blood discharged in drops or spurts. The amount of bleeding can be large or small, and internal hemorrhoids bleed frequently.

2. Rectal diseases: Rectal polyps are benign tumors of the rectum. Bloody stools are the main symptoms of rectal polyps. Rectal polyps that are very close to the anus may sometimes protrude from the anus. This disease is common in children. If someone continues to have blood in the stool, a feeling of falling, an increased frequency of bowel movements, alternating constipation and diarrhea, and at the same time experiences a significant weight loss in a short period of time, it indicates the possibility of rectal cancer. Such a situation must be taken seriously, especially in the elderly.

3. Colon disease: The colon, like the rectum, can also develop polyps and cancer. Diseases such as ulcerative colitis and dysentery can also cause bloody stools. The bloody stools caused by these inflammatory diseases of the large intestine are mostly mixed with mucus or pus and blood in the stool, and are accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain, fever, and tenesmus. In addition, some rare diseases, such as typhoid fever, intestinal tuberculosis, intussusception, etc., can also cause symptoms of bloody stools.

4. Systemic diseases: leukemia, aplastic anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, hemophilia, coagulation disorder, collagen disease, uremia and some rare infectious diseases such as plague and typhus can all cause bloody stools. However, in these diseases, bleeding in the stool is only a part of the whole body bleeding. At the same time as bleeding in the stool, there will be bleeding in other parts of the body. Therefore, it is not difficult to identify. ?
