How long can a patient with stage 3 pneumoconiosis live?

The condition of patients with stage three pneumoconiosis can be said to be relatively serious. As a disease in which fine dust enters the alveoli through the respiratory tract and then transfers to other tissues, it is important to pay attention to scientific treatment methods and patients must be transferred away from dusty operations in a timely manner.

1. Pneumoconiosis is a pathological phenomenon caused by fine dust passing through the respiratory tract, entering the alveoli and then transferring to other tissues. If you are not frequently exposed to dust and your respiratory defense system is intact, this disease generally will not occur. Therefore, this disease mostly occurs in people in specific occupations. It is a type of occupational disease and a serious one.

2. Conventional treatment of pneumoconiosis patients Pneumoconiosis patients should be promptly transferred away from dusty work and receive comprehensive treatment according to their condition, including strengthening nutrition, adhering to medical and physical education, increasing the body's ability to resist infection, and actively preventing and treating tuberculosis and other complications, in order to alleviate symptoms, delay disease progression, prolong patient life, and improve patient biochemical quality.

3. Drugs for the treatment of pneumoconiosis Since there is currently no drug that can completely reverse pneumoconiosis, drug treatment is mainly aimed at preventing or inhibiting the progression of silicosis at an early stage. For example, silicium, organic preparations, pyrimethamine, tetrandrine, etc. are generally effective when used at the same time as dust exposure. When fibrosis is formed after dust exposure, the above drugs are ineffective, and long-term use of the drugs also brings many adverse reactions.

4. Lung lavage in the treatment of pneumoconiosis: In the early stage, lung lavage is used to expel silica dust and a large number of dust cells that can secrete fibrogenic mediators deposited in the alveoli of pneumoconiosis patients. It has a certain effect on improving the patient's clinical symptoms and lung function in the short term. However, there is currently a lack of evidence-based medical evidence on whether it can improve marriage, delay or block the progression of fibrosis and its long-term efficacy.

5. The traditional Chinese medicine method for the treatment of pneumoconiosis uses a variety of techniques such as "pulling, fumigation, burning, acupuncture, and plastering" for comprehensive treatment. The treatment principles are green (without damaging other organs and body functions) and natural (balancing the yin and yang of the five internal organs according to the laws of natural changes). It is necessary to achieve the effect of "curing existing diseases" and the goal of "preventing diseases before they occur".
