What we usually call granulation tissue actually refers to warts, which are mostly jagged protrusions. This type of granulation tissue often occurs on the back of the hands or fingers of children and adolescents, but may also occur on the head. The disease lasts for 1-2 years and will resolve on its own even without treatment.

1. Clinical characteristics

1. Cause: Caused by HPV-2.4 and 7, related to the body's immune function

2. Most common age group: children and adolescents.

3. Common areas: back of hands, fingers and edges of feet, etc.

Periungual warts occur around the nail.

Subungual warts are located on the nail bed.

Filiform warts are long, thin, thread-like protrusions on the skin.

Digital warts are sometimes a collection of multiple jagged finger-like projections.

4. Characteristics of the rash: small papules with a keratinized, rough and hard surface. It is grayish yellow, dirty yellow or dirty brown.

5. Subjective symptoms: None.

6. Course of disease: Chronic, 1-2 years

The epidermal protrusions are long, the warts are curved inwards and spherical in shape, the dermal papillae are extended, and the blood vessels are dilated.

2. Folk Remedies

1. Apply banana peel on the surface of warts (commonly known as warts) to soften them and fall off little by little until they are healed.

Iodine, 75% alcohol and a piece of thin thread (other strong thin thread can also be used). Disinfect the wart with iodine, the area of which should be twice that of the wart, then deiodine it with alcohol, and tie it tightly at the base of the wart with a thin thread (cut off the remaining thread) to block the blood supply. If the wart stalk is large, tighten it again after three or four days.

4. Fresh sesame flowers

Gently rub the affected area with fresh sesame flowers. After 20 times, the affected area will begin to dry and crack, and gradually fall off.

5. Dip cotton swab in gentian violet and apply it to the affected area six or seven times a day. The effect will be seen after a week.

6. Ash

Soak the wart with saliva and apply hot cigarette ash once a day for a week. There is pain after each application, and the scab gradually falls off.

7. Red thorn flower

Rub the affected area with red vitex flowers (i.e. vitex). After about ten days, the affected area will start to dry up and crack.
