Can mild atrophic gastritis be cured?

Mild atrophic gastritis can be treated, but everyone needs to understand that no matter whether it is mild or severe atrophic gastritis, once it is discovered, effective treatment and solution measures must be taken to minimize the harm it causes.

1) General treatment: Patients with chronic atrophic gastritis, regardless of the cause, should quit smoking and avoid

Avoid drinking alcohol, avoid using drugs that damage the gastric mucosa, such as aspirin, erythromycin, etc., have a regular diet, avoid overheated, salty and spicy food, and actively treat chronic oral, nasal and pharyngeal infections.

(2) Weak acid treatment: Patients with low or no acid as confirmed by pentagastrin test can take appropriate amount of rice vinegar, 1-2 spoons each time, 3 times a day; or 0.5-10 ml of 10% dilute hydrochloric acid, before or during meals, and take pepsin mixture at the same time, 10 ml each time, 3 times a day; multienzyme tablets (DPP) or pancreatic enzyme tablets can also be used for treatment to improve the symptoms of indigestion.

(3) Anti-Helicobacter pylori treatment: In chronic atrophic gastritis, gastric acid is reduced or lacking, and bacteria multiply in the stomach, especially Helicobacter pylori, which has a high detection rate. The use of antibiotics has a certain effect on improving the symptoms of chronic atrophic gastritis. The treatment methods commonly used to eliminate Helicobacter pylori are: tripotassium bismuth dihydrate (TDB, De-NOL), 120 mg each time, 4 times a day, taken for 4 to 6 weeks; amoxicillin capsules, 0.5 g each time, 4 times a day; furazolidone (Furazolidone) 100 mg, 3 to 4 times a day. These drugs can not only eliminate Helicobacter pylori, but also help to reduce and eliminate the accompanying active gastritis. Other drugs that have therapeutic effects on Helicobacter pylori include gentamicin, berberine, metronidazole, tetracycline, and norfloxacin.
