How are blackheads formed? Causes of blackheads

Many friends have blackheads on their noses, which is normal. Blackheads appear because sebum and other impurities clog the opening of the hair follicles. The accumulated waste will slowly turn black and form blackheads. To remove blackheads, use the correct method and don't squeeze them blindly.

Blackheads are mainly formed by a "plug"-like substance composed of sebum, cell debris and bacteria, which blocks the opening of the hair follicle. Combined with dust, dirt and oxidation in the air, the end that comes into contact with the air gradually turns black, hence the inelegant name - blackhead.

Blackheads are hardened oil blockages that usually appear on the forehead, nose and other parts of the face. When the oil glands are over-stimulated and the pores are filled with excess oil and become blocked, the nose and the surrounding areas often feel greasy. These oils eventually harden and oxidize to become tiny black dots, which are the oil blockages called blackheads.

1. Gene

Because everyone's physique is different, the size of their pores is also different. Moreover, even if the same maintenance work is done, the degree of improvement of the pores will vary. Therefore, people who are born with worse pore conditions may need to put more effort than others to take care of their skin.

2 Sunshine

If you are overexposed to the sun, in addition to causing abnormal metabolism of epidermal cells, it will also cause the connective tissue to lose elasticity. This is why some people's pores are getting bigger even though they have passed puberty. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends that children should be protected from the sun from the age of six months. Firstly, people are less likely to take children under six months old out. Secondly, in the first six months, when the sun is not completely known, babies are advised not to use other things as much as possible. However, when the baby is over six months old, it is best to start using sunscreen and some physical sun protection (such as a hat or parasol).

3. Over-cleansing your skin

When the weather gets hot, the sebum secretion of our pores becomes more vigorous. In order to remove the annoying "oily shine", many people often wash their faces and remove makeup, thinking that this way they can say goodbye to greasiness. But in fact, unless you take medication, no matter what oil-removing actions you take, at most you can only remove the oil on your face, and it is impossible to control the secretion of oil. On the contrary, if you clean too vigorously, your skin will become tight, dry, and peel, and even some small flakes will appear, which will easily cause our skin to have abnormal keratin metabolism or aging, causing greater damage.

4. Squeeze pimples and blackheads

Recently, while seeing patients, I finally found a good metaphor to help everyone understand the characteristics of acne, which is "bomb". The bomb (acne) may not necessarily explode, but from time to time when the internal or external environment of the body is unstable, the bomb may explode - forming the so-called acne, and the mark left after the explosion - is the so-called acne scar. This can also help everyone understand why sometimes acne recurs once treatment is stopped despite serious treatment (because the bomb has not been defused, only the local explosion has been resolved).
