Fatty liver is a very common disease in life, but many people do not know how they get fatty liver. In fact, it is often caused by some problems in themselves. Moreover, 50% of patients with fatty liver have diabetes, and fatty liver can also cause various other diseases in the body. So let’s take a look at the dangers of fatty liver. 1. Fatty liver is prone to hyperlipidemia. The liver is the largest metabolic organ in the human body. Fatty liver causes abnormal liver fat metabolism, which manifests as increased triglycerides or cholesterol in the blood. Fatty liver is often accompanied by dyslipidemia. High blood lipids increase blood viscosity, slow blood circulation, and deposit blood lipids in the blood vessel walls, causing poor vascular elasticity and causing high blood pressure. Excessive deposition of blood lipids in the blood vessel walls can easily cause hardening of the blood vessel walls, and if it occurs in the arteries, it is atherosclerosis. Due to the blockage of blood lipids, the blood vessel lumen becomes narrower and narrower, which can easily lead to insufficient blood supply to the myocardium and insufficient oxygen supply to the brain, causing serious consequences such as heart disease and cerebral stroke. 2. Fatty liver can easily lead to cirrhosis. According to reports, although fatty liver is a benign disease, about 1/4 of patients may develop cirrhosis. Fatty liver causes liver fat metabolism disorders. Excessive fat accumulates in liver cells, causing liver cells to swell and rupture. The fat in the liver cells overflows, causing fat infiltration of liver cells. The damaged liver cells cannot be repaired in time, causing liver cell inflammation, and then causing fatty hepatitis. At this time, clinical detection of elevated transaminases and transpeptidases was performed. After liver cells rupture, excessive dead tissue cannot be cleared in time and accumulates in the liver. At this time, the body will repair the damaged liver cells, resulting in insufficient raw materials for liver cell synthesis. The body can only use relatively more raw materials in the body for repair, thus forming liver fibrosis. As liver fibrosis continues to develop and the liver becomes hardened, cirrhosis is formed. Cirrhosis often leads to ascites, massive gastrointestinal bleeding or liver failure. 3. Fatty liver often causes type 2 diabetes, kidney stones, gout, cholecystitis and other diseases. Fatty liver can cause glucose metabolism disorders and trigger type 2 diabetes. Fatty liver causes abnormal protein catabolism and triggers hyperuricemia. Long-term abnormal uric acid excretion will form crystals in the kidneys, leading to kidney stones and gout. Fatty liver affects the liver's secretion and excretion of bile. Bile acid, the main component of bile, is easily precipitated in the bile to form gallstones; bile acid increases its irritation to the gallbladder, forming cholecystitis. It can be seen that the occurrence of many diseases is due to abnormal liver function caused by fatty liver. |
