What should I do if I have pseudomyopia?

Pseudomyopia is the most common disease among teenagers. It is because teenagers use their eyes incorrectly. Although it is not real myopia, it will become myopia if you do not take it seriously. Therefore, after suffering from pseudomyopia, you should pay more attention to rest and let your eyes get a good rest. You should also look into the distance more often to adjust your eyes. Green plants can also help relieve fatigue.

Myopia can be true or false. Some children have incorrect reading or writing postures, or insufficient lighting, which causes their ciliary muscles to often be in a contracted state, and the convex lens is not easy to relax. At this time, parallel light from a distance enters the eye, and after being strongly refracted by the convex lens, its focus no longer falls on the retina, but in front of the retina, making vision blurry. This is called pseudomyopia.

If a child has pseudomyopia, parents should not rush to give the child glasses. Because the anterior-posterior diameter of the eyeball does not increase in pseudomyopia, and the structure of the eyeball does not change. It is only a change in physiological function, so generally you should not wear glasses.

As long as parents ask their children to protect their eyes and relax their ciliary muscles, their vision will return to normal. However, if pseudomyopia is not taken seriously and continues to develop, the anterior-posterior axis of the eyeball will become longer and the structure of the eyeball will change, which will lead to true myopia, and it must be corrected by wearing glasses.

If the child has pseudomyopia, parents should urge the child to pay attention to and develop good eye hygiene habits, do eye exercises after using the eyes for a period of time, or let the child look as far away as possible, preferably at green trees. Twice a day, 15 minutes each time.
