What are the early symptoms of chronic pharyngitis?

Everyone should be aware of the early symptoms of chronic pharyngitis, especially when there is always a foreign body sensation in the throat or sometimes a temporary loss of voice, a very low voice, and increased pain when swallowing, you should be alert to whether it is a symptom of chronic pharyngitis.

1. Patients with pharyngitis have a foreign body sensation in the throat, which cannot be eliminated by coughing or swallowing, so their voices tend to be tired and hoarse. Some patients often experience symptoms of acid reflux and belching, and patients with pharyngitis like to eat before going to bed.

2. Patients sometimes experience temporary loss of voice when speaking normally, or their voices are extremely low and cannot be heard clearly, but their coughing and laughing are normal. At this time, it is necessary to distinguish it from hysterical hoarseness. Clinical examination shows normal adduction of the vocal cords, which indicates pharyngitis.

3. Patients with pharyngitis often experience sore throat, and the symptoms worsen when swallowing. These symptoms usually occur after a cold or fever. Those with long-term sore throat that does not heal need to be alert to laryngeal cancer.

4. Dry throat. Some people feel very dry, but most people only feel slightly dry.

5. Pharyngeal discomfort, dryness, itching, swelling, excessive secretions and burning pain, easy nausea, foreign body sensation, unable to cough out or swallow;

6. Throat pain is mostly caused by inflammatory stimulation. Throat pain also varies from person to person, some people have mild pain, some people have severe pain;

7. A small number of patients may have a strong odor in their mouth, or halitosis, which is related to dry stools or what TCM calls lung and stomach stagnation of heat;

8. At the beginning, the throat is dry and burning, followed by pain. The pain is often more obvious when swallowing saliva than when eating.
