What are the symptoms of knee rheumatism

Rheumatism is a common clinical disease. It can occur in multiple joints of the body, especially the knee joints. There are many symptoms of knee rheumatism, the most obvious of which is pain, and the pain of knee rheumatism is recurrent. The patient may also have a fever.

1. Migratory pain, that is, after the pain in one joint has improved or has not improved significantly, another joint is affected and pain occurs. The pain lasts for a short time, generally 12-72 hours, and the longest is no more than 3 weeks, and it mostly affects large joints such as the knees, elbows, shoulders and other joints.

2. Symmetrical pain. The lesions may affect the same joints of both limbs at the same time. For example, pain may occur in both knees and elbows at the same time. Joint pain is accompanied by redness, swelling, and tenderness around the joint. The pain may occur in multiple joints at the same time. Along with the pain, the skin may be accompanied by annular erythema or subcutaneous nodules. After the pain subsides, there will be no joint stiffness or deformity left, and joint function can be restored.

3. Fever is a common symptom of rheumatism, which can be low fever, moderate fever, or high fever. It is often manifested as irregular fever and rapid erythrocyte sedimentation rate, but generally no chills. Antibiotic treatment is ineffective, but hormone treatment is effective. Diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, adult-onset Still's disease, and panniculitis can all present with fever as a symptom.

4. Morning stiffness: When you wake up in the morning or after resting, your joints become stiff and your movements are restricted, which affects activities such as turning over, buttoning clothes, and making fists. This feeling will only disappear after you slowly move your limbs.
