If the stool is brown, it cannot be ignored, of course, because if there is duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer or liver cirrhosis, these diseases will usually show symptoms of abnormal defecation, so we need to pay attention to these symptoms and it is recommended to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination. 1. Dark yellow stool: This is often seen in hemolytic jaundice, which is jaundice produced by massive destruction of red blood cells. It is often accompanied by hemolytic anemia, which can be caused by congenital red blood cell defects, hemolytic bacterial infection, malignant dysentery, blood transfusion with the wrong blood type, poisoning by certain chemicals or toxins, various immune reactions (including autoimmunity), etc. 2. The stool is dark brown: as black as the asphalt on the road, also known as tar-like stool, which is a common type of gastrointestinal bleeding stool. It includes duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, antral gastritis, gastric mucosal prolapse, esophageal varicose vein bleeding in liver cirrhosis, etc. However, if you eat too much meat, such as animal blood, liver, spinach, take oral iron, bismuth, activated carbon, etc., the feces may also be black, which should be distinguished. 3. The stool is grayish white, and the whites of the child's eyes and skin are yellow. This may be due to bile duct obstruction, thick bile, or hepatitis. 4. Black stools may be caused by bleeding in the stomach or upper intestine or by taking iron supplements to prevent and treat anemia. 5. If the stool contains bright red blood, it may be due to dry stool or cracked skin around the anus. 6. The stool is red bean soup-like, which may be hemorrhagic enteritis, which often occurs in premature infants. 7. The stool is light yellow, pasty, and oily in appearance. It contains a lot of milk curds and fat droplets, floating on the water surface. The stool volume and frequency are relatively large, which may be due to fat indigestion. 8. The stool is yellow-brown, watery, and contains curds and a pungent smell of rotten eggs, indicating protein indigestion. 9. The stool is egg drop soup-like, foamy, sour, and large in quantity, indicating carbohydrate indigestion. 10. The child has frequent bowel movements but small amounts of stool. The stool is green or yellow-green in color and contains bile with transparent stringy mucus. The child appears hungry. This is due to insufficient milk and hunger. It may also be diarrhea. |
