What should I eat to replenish white blood cells during chemotherapy?

During chemotherapy, many people's white blood cell count will be low. At this time, everyone should increase the production of white blood cells through diet, so they should drink more crucian carp soup, or drink more green tea, honey water, etc. This will not only reduce damage to liver function, but also play a role in restoring vitality. It is appropriate to supplement some vitamins, and eat more animal liver, spinach, etc.

Chemotherapy can cause oral mucositis, which manifests as mucosal congestion, edema, ulcers, pain, etc. At this time, you should keep your mouth clean, brush your teeth after eating, supplement with high-nutrition liquids or a liquid diet, such as lotus seed soup, snow fungus soup, milk, soy milk, crucian carp soup, etc. Avoid overheated, overly acidic and irritating foods when eating. In case of acute inflammation, you can hold ice in your mouth to reduce inflammatory exudation. If ulcers appear, you can add 0.1 gram of crushed vitamin C to 20 ml of honey and hold it in your mouth 2 to 4 times a day.

Chemotherapy damages the gastrointestinal mucosa and may cause nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, poor appetite, etc. At this time, you can eat appetizers, such as hawthorn, lentils, yam, white radish, mushrooms, etc. At the same time, you should eat small meals frequently to avoid feeling full. Chew food slowly and thoroughly, do not lie flat for 1 hour after a meal, you can spread your legs, do not drink water for 1 hour before chemotherapy, and take 3 to 5 ml of fresh ginger juice orally if you feel nausea and vomiting while eating.

Some chemotherapy drugs can cause liver damage and elevated transaminases. At this time, you should eat more bitter gourd, mung bean sprouts, tea, shiitake mushrooms, fungus, Hericium erinaceus and other fungal foods, eat more fruits rich in vitamins, such as kiwi, peaches, apples, grapes, etc., and drink more green tea, oolong tea, and honey water. If the liver function is severely damaged, you can use 20 grams of Schisandra chinensis and 20 grams of wolfberry to stew crucian carp soup.

Some chemotherapy drugs can also cause kidney damage, such as cisplatin. In clinical practice, when using this type of drug, you should drink more water and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits (alkaline foods). Once renal damage occurs, protein intake should be limited. If edema occurs, eat less salt and eat more animal kidneys, mullet, spinach and red amaranth. You can also eat more foods that are rich in water and have diuretic effects, such as watermelon, cucumber, winter melon, loofah, etc.
