There is no difference between warts and flat warts for some individuals, but these two are different diseases. As long as they are different, there is a difference. Although warts and flat warts are similar, there are subtle differences in pathology and treatment methods. 1. Papillomavirus is caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), which is transmitted through direct or indirect contact. Trauma is a very important factor for HPV infection. Therefore, warts are caused by viral infection, not by blood disease. However, the occurrence of this disease is related to the body's immune status. The incidence of warts is increased in patients with immunodeficiency, such as kidney transplant recipients, malignant lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lupus erythematosus. Flat warts are growths caused by the human body being infected with the HPV virus when the body is weak, and are considered a type of wart. It is common in teenagers, postoperative patients, pregnant women and other weak people. Therefore, improving immunity is the most basic means to resist flat warts. 2. Flat warts are mainly transmitted through direct contact, but can also be indirectly transmitted through contaminants such as needles, brushes, towels, etc. In addition, trauma is also an important factor causing infection. Flat warts can often be seen arranged in cords along scratches. This is an example of trauma causing infection. In addition, people with low immunity are more susceptible to flat warts than normal people. Warts generally have no subjective symptoms, but occasionally tenderness; the skin lesions are needle tip to pea-sized, semicircular or polygonal papules with a rough surface and obvious keratinization. It is slightly hard to the touch, and is grayish yellow, dirty brown or normal skin color, with papillary proliferation, and the surface is mostly pistil-like, thorn-like, or rice-grain-like protrusions; it is prone to occur on the fingers, back of the hands, nail edges, feet, face, neck, chest, and back. 3. For warts, 10-20% salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid or glacial acetic acid dissolved in an equal amount of elastic collodion can be applied externally, or 5% 5-fluorouracil ointment can be applied externally to cause the warts to die and fall off. However, it may cause local irritation, redness, swelling, chapped skin, pain, allergic reactions, pigmentation and other side effects. Flat warts are treated with Western medicine. Surveys show that drugs containing salicylic acid have better therapeutic effects. There is little evidence that superficial cryotherapy is more effective than salicylic acid. You can also take Chinese medicine orally. Since the medicinal power is greatly lost after being absorbed into the internal organs and reaching the skin after oral administration, this type of oral Chinese medicine uses the principle of strengthening the body and eliminating evil. |
