What are the symptoms of cold urticaria

Cold urticaria is also a relatively common type of urticaria and is also known as physical urticaria. This disease can occur at any age. The main trigger is weather changes, such as sudden cold or high fever, which often causes fever, joint pain, headache, and even plaque edema. For patients with allergic constitution, the harm is relatively large.

1. Itching and wheals

The main symptoms are itching and wheals in different parts of the body after exposure to cold conditions. Skin lesions can be limited to areas exposed to cold conditions or areas in contact with cold objects, or they can be widespread, involving the oral mucosa, and even manifest as headaches, chills, diarrhea, and tachycardia.

2. Continuous onset of disease.

Cold urticaria can develop into a continuous history, meaning it recurs in the same season every year. Not only will wheal-like redness and swelling appear on the surface of the skin, but in severe cases, wheal-like redness and swelling will also appear in the internal organs. If not treated in time, it may even lead to death.

3. Rapid onset and disappearance

Urticaria is not contagious. Urticaria, commonly known as wheals, is a common skin disease. Various factors cause temporary inflammatory congestion and large amounts of fluid exudation in the blood vessels of the skin and mucous membranes. Causes local edema damage. It occurs and disappears rapidly, and the urticaria is extremely itchy. Therefore, cold urticaria is not contagious.

You should take part in physical exercise regularly to improve your body's ability to adapt to weather changes; pay attention to the skin's cold resistance training. The specific method is: gradually lower the temperature of the water for washing your face, from hot water to warm water for washing your face. According to experts, this is also a kind of "desensitization therapy" for the skin, which is effective in preventing cold urticaria, but the water temperature should not be too low, not so low that it feels cold, otherwise it may be counterproductive.
