Mycoplasma infection is a bacterial infection, and many clinical diseases may be associated with mycoplasma infection. This bacterial infection can be transmitted through sexual transmission, so you must pay attention to hygiene in your daily life. The symptoms of mycoplasma infection in women are relatively obvious, mainly manifesting in gynecological diseases. What symptoms do women experience when infected with mycoplasma? 1. Common symptoms Mycoplasma infection in women leads to cervicitis, endometritis, salpingitis, fallopian tube obstruction, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, and female infertility. Most patients have no obvious symptoms, while a few severe patients have vaginal swelling and burning, increased and turbid leucorrhea, cervical edema, congestion, and cervical erosion. When combined with urethritis, patients will experience symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency. Some patients may also experience vaginal itching, which irritates the urethra and anus, and may also experience symptoms such as stinging when urinating, anal swelling, anal itching, and bleeding during sexual intercourse. 2. Pelvic inflammatory disease The main symptoms of pelvic inflammatory disease caused by mycoplasma infection are lower abdominal distension and pain, lumbar pain, sometimes accompanied by anal distension and discomfort, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, infertility, frequent urination, increased leucorrhea. During gynecological examination, if it is adnexitis, thickened cords or patches of pain may be felt on one or both sides of the uterus; if hydrosalpinx or fallopian tube cyst has formed, cystic masses may be felt; if it is pelvic connective tissue inflammation, both sides of the uterus may show flake-like thickening and varying degrees of tenderness. 3. Fallopian tube inflammation Mycoplasma infection causes salpingitis, which leads to adhesion of the fallopian tubes, thickening of the fallopian tubes, and fibrosis, which makes the fallopian tubes appear cord-like. It causes the ovaries, fallopian tubes and surrounding organs to adhere to each other, forming a hard and fixed mass. After the fallopian tube becomes inflamed, the fimbria ends become adhered and closed, and serous fluid exudes from the tube wall and accumulates in the tube cavity to form hydrosalpinx and pus in the fallopian tube. After the pus is absorbed, hydrosalpinx may also form. If the ovaries are affected at the same time, a tubo-ovarian cyst will form. 4. Endometriosis Endometriosis caused by mycoplasma infection is also the most complicated disease in gynecology. It can cause adhesion and spread everywhere. The most common symptoms of endometriosis are pain and dysmenorrhea. Patients have varying degrees of dysmenorrhea. The endometrium is compressed by the intestines, bladder, or nerves, causing local pelvic pain, dyspareunia, and constipation. Endometriosis accumulates into cysts and causes severe abdominal pain; in the intestines, intestinal obstruction occurs and there will also be colic; endometriosis in the fallopian tubes causes abdominal pain due to fallopian tube blockage. |
