What causes sudden heart pain?

If we suddenly feel a pain in our heart in our life, even if it is only for a very short few seconds, it should still attract our attention. Many times this sudden heart pain is due to some disease in our body. This sudden pain is an alarm signal for us. When this symptom appears, it is best to check according to the situation. Now let’s talk about what is sudden heart pain?

1. Condition 1

Intercostal neuralgia, also known as intercostal neuritis, is a group of symptoms that refers to the damage of the thoracic nerve roots (i.e., intercostal nerves) due to various reasons, such as: thoracic vertebrae degeneration, thoracic vertebrae tuberculosis, thoracic vertebrae injury, thoracic vertebrae dura mater, tumors, ankylosing spondylitis and other diseases or rib, mediastinum, pleural lesions. The intercostal nerves are compressed and stimulated by the above diseases, and an inflammatory reaction occurs, resulting in a syndrome with band-like pain in the chest, ribs or abdomen.

Intercostal neuralgia refers to recurrent pain in one or several intercostal areas that worsens with episodes. Primary intercostal neuralgia is extremely rare, while secondary intercostal neuralgia is often related to viral infection, toxic stimulation, mechanical injury and foreign body compression. The pain is usually stabbing or burning and is distributed along the intercostal nerves.

2. Condition 2

The possibility of angina pectoris due to coronary heart disease is relatively high. You can immediately take nitroglycerin sublingually or take a quick-acting heart-saving pill. It is recommended to go to the hospital immediately for a check of electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound and coronary angiography if necessary to confirm the diagnosis. Initial onset angina pectoris requires hospitalization and infusion treatment. In normal times, you should avoid fatigue and emotional excitement. Eat less greasy, high-fat and spicy foods. Proper exercise. If you smoke, quit smoking and drinking. If your blood sugar and blood lipids are high, you should actively control them.
