What to do if gums and teeth are loosened

There are many reasons for the loosening of gingival granulation tissue, such as gingivitis and periodontal disease. In addition, when the teeth touch hard objects, it is easy to cause such symptoms. At this time, you should pay attention to oral hygiene and go to the hospital to see a dentist in time. If the looseness is serious, you can extract the tooth. Of course, if there is inflammation, conservative treatment should be carried out.

1. Loose teeth caused by dental trauma

If the loose teeth are caused by trauma, you can take some anti-inflammatory drugs and the teeth will stabilize after the inflammation is eliminated. If the looseness is serious or even dislocation occurs, you need to reposition the loose tooth first, then tie it to the adjacent teeth, and take anti-inflammatory drugs at the same time, and the tooth will gradually return to normal.

2. Loose teeth caused by abnormal bite

Abnormal occlusion includes disordered occlusal relationship and excessive biting force of individual teeth. These problems require the doctor to adjust the occlusion first, treat the occlusal trauma, and then wait for the alveolar bone to slowly repair itself. After recovery, the teeth can return to a stable state.

3. Loose teeth caused by periodontal disease

Periodontal disease can cause teeth to become loose to varying degrees. If the teeth are mildly loose, the periodontal disease can be treated, and the teeth will heal after the disease is cured. If the teeth are moderately loose, the loose teeth need to be tied to the adjacent teeth. If the teeth are severely loose, the teeth cannot be retained, and the best way is to extract them.
