What causes tooth sourness?

Teeth are the most important part of people's oral cavity. Teeth complete the purpose of people's initial decomposition of food, so that food can be digested more quickly and efficiently after entering the stomach. However, teeth can also get sick. For example, many people's teeth will experience soreness in certain situations. Let's take a look at what causes tooth soreness.

Tooth acid is a typical tooth sensitivity, commonly known as inverted teeth, and is called "dirty teeth", "tooth acid", "cold teeth" and so on in traditional Chinese medicine. It is a symptom in which the teeth feel sore, tender and painful when they are stimulated by temperature (hot or cold), chemical (sour, sweet) and mechanical (brushing teeth, biting hard objects).

It is not a single disease, but a common symptom of various tooth defects. Tooth defects are commonly caused by wedge-shaped defects due to wear, trauma or improper brushing, which cause enamel defects and dentin exposure. External stimuli are transmitted through the dentin and cytoplasmic processes of odontoblasts, resulting in sensitive symptoms, or due to certain systemic diseases such as neurosis, long-term insomnia, menstruation, pregnancy, etc., the whole body's irritability increases and the sensitivity of nerve endings increases. Even if the dentin is not exposed, the entire mouth of teeth will feel extremely sensitive and uncomfortable. After high-dose radiotherapy in the oral and maxillofacial area, teeth generally become decalcified and soften, the necks of the teeth become extremely sensitive, and allergies may also occur.

The main symptoms are sensitivity to hot and cold, sour and sweet, and mechanical stimulation (biting hard objects), and sore and painful teeth. When these stimuli are removed, the pain disappears immediately, and there is no spontaneous pain. A probe can be used to find one or several sensitive points or sour areas on the tooth surface. During treatment, for milder tooth sensitivity, you can chew tea leaves or walnut kernels, which contain tannic acid and have astringent effects, especially on the allergic areas. It can have a certain desensitization effect, or rub raw garlic on the sensitive areas of the teeth for 2-3 minutes can also have a certain effect, because it contains allicin and other substances that can reduce the sensitivity of teeth. For more severe tooth sensitivity, do not go to the hospital for desensitization treatment. Treatment methods include drug application, ion introduction, drug application, paint covering, drug gargle, etc.
