Can moxibustion cure severe sinusitis?

Moxibustion is a relatively traditional medical technique and a very alternative treatment method in Chinese medicine. It is widely used in life and is mainly used to treat various diseases of qi and blood dispersion as well as various diseases caused by joint moisture. In recent years, as Chinese medicine continues to adapt to the needs of the times, more and more people have begun to recognize and use Chinese medicine to treat various difficult and complicated diseases. Among them, moxibustion has become a popular therapy. People use moxibustion to treat and regulate their bodies and have achieved good therapeutic results. Let’s take a look at whether moxibustion can cure severe sinusitis? I hope everyone can understand.

The first method is to use moxibustion on the Yintang and Yingxiang points on the face. This moxibustion method involves applying moxa directly around the painful area once a day.

Yingxiang Point: Disperses wind-heat and clears the nasal passages. This point belongs to the Hand Yangming Large Intestine Meridian. It is located next to the nose. The meridian qi goes directly to the nasal orifice, so it has a strong effect in dredging blood vessels and clearing the nasal orifices. It is an important point for treating various nasal diseases.

Yintang Point: Yintang Point is the gathering place of the three major meridians of the human body. They are: the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian starting from the inner corner of the eye; the Foot-Yangming Stomach Meridian starting from the side of the nose; and the Ren Meridian passing through the center of the Yingtang. The bladder meridian governs the body's yang energy, the stomach meridian governs the blood and qi, and the Ren meridian governs the body's yin energy. It has the effects of improving eyesight, clearing the nose, calming the mind and soothing the nerves. It is mainly used clinically to treat insomnia, headache, sinusitis and other diseases.

The second method is to use moxibustion on the Dazhui, Fengmen and Feishu points on the back. This type of moxibustion is mainly used to regulate the lung qi, and moxibustion should be performed once a day.

Dazhui point: big means many. "Zhui" means a hammering tool. The Dazhui point here refers to the fact that the Qi and blood substances in the point are real rather than empty. The name Dazhui means that the yang and hot energy of the three yang meridians of the hands and feet converge into this point and ascend to the head and neck with the yang energy of the Du meridian. The substances of this point are, firstly, abundant Yang energy transmitted from Taodao point of the Du meridian, and secondly, Yang energy scattered to the yang side of the back from the three Yang meridians of the hands and feet. The Yang energy in the point is abundant and as solid as a vertebra, hence the name Dazhui. The material of this point is formed by the confluence of the Yang Qi of the three Yang meridians of the hands and feet and the Yang Qi of the Governor Vessel, so it is the meeting point of the three Yang meridians of the hands and feet and the Governor Vessel.

Feishu Point: Feishu Point is an acupoint on the back of the Foot-Taiyang Meridian. Yu means Shu and because it corresponds to the lungs and is the place where lung qi is transferred and infused, it is an important acupoint for treating lung diseases, hence the name Feishu.
