How to treat a red nose effectively

There are many reasons for a red nose, the most common one is rosacea, also known as rosacea, which is a relatively serious skin disease. It has a great impact on a person's appearance and even has a very adverse effect on the patient's psychology. Rosacea is symmetrical with the nose as the center. The affected group is mostly middle-aged people, and often shows symptoms of redness of the nose skin. There are many causes, such as poor gastrointestinal function, frequent habitual constipation, a preference for irritating foods, long-term drinking and smoking habits, and hair follicle mite infection may also induce such symptoms. Rosacea should be treated in time, and a certain period of medication can generally achieve good results.

1. General treatment:

In normal times, avoid spicy and irritating food and drinking, avoid exposure to the sun and stimulation of excessive cold or heat, avoid mental stress, and maintain a good attitude and regular life. Gastrointestinal diseases should be treated promptly to keep bowel movements smooth. Adjust endocrine disorders.

2. Topical medication:

Anti-inflammatory and bactericidal drugs that can relieve erythematous papules and pustules can be used externally. Lincomycin, fusidic acid cream, metronidazole gel, etc. can be used. Some topical preparations have adverse reactions such as local irritation, which should be explained to the patient. If the patient cannot tolerate the drug, the drug should be discontinued or replaced. When using all topical medications, they need to be used together with mild skin care products, such as vitamin E cream, to reduce drug irritation to the skin and help restore the barrier function. For those with eye involvement, tetracycline eye ointment, chloramphenicol eye ointment, etc. can be chosen.

3. Systemic treatment :

If the papules and pustules are more severe, or if mites are found in on-site specimens, oral medication can be used for treatment. Metronidazole, tetracycline, etc. can be used. For those who do not respond well to antibiotic treatment, low-dose retinoic acid can be used for treatment. For those who are infected with Helicobacter pylori, they can be treated according to Helicobacter pylori infection. For postmenopausal patients with severe rosacea, estrogen treatment has a certain effect.

4. Other treatments:

For those with obvious capillary dilation, laser treatment has satisfactory results. In the rhinoplasty stage, incision or grinding surgery can be chosen for treatment to achieve a cosmetic effect.
