How to treat Helicobacter pylori positive?

Helicobacter pylori in the stomach is a negative bacillus, which represents a chronic stomach disease or chronic gastritis, antral gastritis. Helicobacter pylori will spread throughout the human body, which can easily lead to lesions of the gastric mucosa, causing chronic inflammation of the stomach, and digestive tract diseases or intestinal diseases. Severe conditions can easily lead to cancer or tumors. There are many ways to treat it, which can be treated by taking medications, including some anti-inflammatory drugs. You should also pay more attention to observing the condition at ordinary times.

treat

Currently, not all people infected with Helicobacter pylori require treatment. If there are no clinical symptoms, even if Hp is positive, there is no need to eliminate Hp. You can observe regularly and decide how to treat based on the doctor's advice.

Radical treatment is required if the following treatment indications are present: ① peptic ulcer; ② gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma; ③ HP-positive chronic gastritis with dyspepsia; ④ chronic gastritis with gastric mucosal atrophy or erosion; ⑤ early gastric tumors that have undergone endoscopic resection or surgical subtotal gastrectomy; ⑥ family history of gastric cancer; ⑦ plans to take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for a long time.

diagnosis

Hp infection lacks typical and specific clinical manifestations, and diagnosis of Hp infection requires the use of diagnostic tests. The main detection methods are:

1. Breath test (carbon 13 or carbon 14 breath test)

The carbon 13 breath test is the latest, rapid, painless and radiation-free Helicobacter pylori detection technology. It does not require gastroscopy, but only requires easy exhalation and measurement of the breath components to immediately detect whether there is Helicobacter pylori infection with high accuracy.

2. Gold standard method for rapid detection of urease

Antigen or antibody antigen specimens are stool, and antibody specimens are blood, serum, or fingertip blood. Its characteristics are convenience, speed, results in 15 minutes, and it is not restricted by many conditions. The test result was a past infection.

3. Rapid urease method

The most widely used method in clinical practice. It can visually and effectively observe whether the patient is infected with HP. Fast, safe, accurate, easy to operate clinical testing, non-radioactive and low cost. Suitable for first-time gastroscopy. Invasive examination, not suitable for follow-up examination.

Helicobacter pylori and related diseases

1. Hp and gastrointestinal diseases

It has been confirmed that Hp is closely related to chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, gastric cancer, and MALT malignant lymphoma. The Hp infection rate in patients with chronic gastritis exceeds 90%. Hp colonizes in the gastric metaplastic epithelium in the duodenum, causing mucosal damage and leading to the formation of duodenal ulcers. WHO (World Health Organization) lists Hp as the first-level carcinogen for gastric cancer and believes that Hp infection is closely related to the occurrence of gastric cancer.

2. Hp and extra-gastrointestinal diseases

Hp is not only closely related to gastrointestinal diseases, but also to multiple system diseases, such as hepatobiliary diseases (hepatic hyperammonemia, fatty liver, chronic cholecystitis and cholelithiasis), nervous system diseases (cerebral infarction), cardiovascular diseases (atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, arrhythmia), blood system diseases (unexplained iron deficiency anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura), etc.
