How to prevent vitiligo?

Now everyone knows that vitiligo is a common skin disease. Vitiligo has a great impact on young people in society. Vitiligo can cause obvious parts of the skin to be disconnected from the normal skin color, so it will not only affect a person's appearance, but even their friends will stay away from them. It has a great impact on people's psychology, spirit and body. Vitiligo is not age or gender-specific. If a man accidentally develops vitiligo, he should first start with his diet and daily life, develop good personal living habits, reasonably manage his bad emotions, and maintain a cheerful and optimistic attitude. Only with such an attitude can we ensure that vitiligo does not worsen, prevent stress on the body, and cause some harmful problems.

What are the prevention methods for vitiligo in men?

1. Vitiligo affects everyone regardless of age or gender, so there are many male patients suffering from vitiligo in life. If men suffering from vitiligo want to recover as soon as possible, they must first find the cause of the disease and actively and effectively treat the symptoms according to the actual cause and symptoms to achieve the ideal effect. In addition, you should also pay attention to choosing a regular hospital for greater security.

2. To prevent vitiligo in men, you need to plan your life well and develop good living and eating habits. This is one of the most effective ways to prevent vitiligo. Do more physical exercise in daily life to strengthen your body and increase your resistance to prevent vitiligo. Vitiligo is a stubborn chronic skin disease, so patients must strictly require themselves in terms of diet and avoid certain foods. The symptoms of vitiligo on the back of men are not all the same. Some are pure white, while others are gray. Moreover, the size of the white spots on the back of male patients are also different, so these vary from person to person. At first, the white spots on the skin are indistinguishable from the normal color of the patient's skin, but they become more and more obvious as the disease progresses. .

3. To prevent the occurrence of vitiligo, men must manage their emotions, maintain an optimistic attitude and a happy mood. Nowadays, life and work pressure are high, and men are inevitably irritable and bad-tempered. These emotions are not good for physical health. Therefore, facing everything with a correct attitude is the style that men should have. To a certain extent, it can also effectively prevent and treat vitiligo. Why not do it? White spots are the main symptom of vitiligo. The white spots of vitiligo on the back of men are generally as big as coins, and they can be round or irregular in shape. Generally speaking, the hair on the affected areas of vitiligo is white, and the hair will gradually change color. This requires patients to be vigilant and take active precautions.

Vitiligo examination method

1. Wood's lamp inspection: also known as Wood's lamp or filtered ultraviolet lamp, it obtains 320-400nm long-wave ultraviolet rays through a filter containing nickel hydride. As an auxiliary detection method used in dermatology clinical practice, it has a very wide range. Detection of pigmentary abnormalities, such as vitiligo, for auxiliary diagnosis and therapeutic efficacy assessment. Under the Wood's lamp, melanin absorbs the entire band of ultraviolet rays. If the melanin level decreases, the refraction will be strong and the color will appear light, while if the melanin level increases, the refraction will be weak and the color will appear dark. This is to determine whether the white spots on the patient's skin are vitiligo. Clinically, it is sometimes difficult to detect light-colored spots on normal skin, especially fair skin, with the naked eye. However, under a Wood lamp, the lesions of vitiligo are pure white, in sharp contrast to the surrounding normal skin, with clear boundaries. Especially when hair follicle repigmentation begins to appear in white spots, the initial repigmentation is not obvious under natural light, but it can be confirmed by observation with the help of a Wood's lamp. Depigmented nevus, pityriasis alba, tuberous sclerosis, post-inflammatory hypopigmented macules, hypopigmented macules of leprosy, etc. appear yellowish white or grayish white under the Wood lamp; tinea versicolor appears brownish yellow or yellowish white; and the pale white skin lesions of anemic nevus cannot be seen.

2. Dermatoscopy: Its essence is a polarized light skin microscope that can magnify dozens of times. Its function is the same as the fundus ophthalmoscope used in ophthalmology and the otoscope used in otolaryngology. It is a powerful tool for observing skin pigmentation diseases. The incidence of residual peripapillary pigmentation in the progressive stage of dermatoscopy was as high as 91.94%, which was significantly higher than the incidence of residual peripapillary pigmentation in the stable stage of 62.86%. The difference between the two was statistically significant after statistical analysis (P<0.05). In addition, capillary dilation, early pigment island formation and deepening of peripapillary pigmentation can be observed in vitiligo lesions. These phenomena are related to the different stages of the development of vitiligo and the recent history of treatment. No peripilar pigment residue was found in other hypopigmented spots that were differentiated from vitiligo, especially the atypical vitiligo lesions in the early clinical stages, such as tinea versicolor, post-inflammatory hypopigmentation, pityriasis alba, senile leukoplakia, apigmented nevus, anemic nevus and idiopathic guttate hypopigmentation.

3. Glass slide examination method: This method is used by dermatologists and can also be used at home. Press the rash with a glass slide and then gradually reduce the pressure to see if the rash changes from white to light red. If so, it is not, but pure white is. The pathological basis of its mechanism is the absence of microscopic capillaries in vitiligo. No matter how much pressure is applied, the white color remains, while other white rashes have capillaries, and there is a slight congestion contrast when the pressure is reduced. Anemic nevus is just the opposite of vitiligo. Anemic nevus is only a localized hypopigmentation, not depigmentation. Therefore, there is no obvious boundary between the pressed area and normal skin.
