What are the usage and precautions of the defibrillator

1. How to use an automated external defibrillator

Only 3 buttons and 2 disposable adhesive electrodes are required for operation

Buttons: Green - switch, Yellow - analyze, Red - shock

Electrode: Conductive gel is available, and the placement position is shown on the body and electrode packaging surface ("A" electrode is on the left chest wall covering the apex of the heart, and "S" electrode is on the right subscapular area or the right edge of the sternum under the right clavicle).

Operation: There are text display and voice prompts during the power on operation. (AEDs sold in 2006 have Chinese interfaces and prompt sounds)

2. AED defibrillation continuous operation steps

The patient lies supinely - the electrodes are correctly attached - the defibrillator is turned on - the analysis button is pressed - the instrument prompts "analyzing" - the instrument displays the analysis result - if it says "defibrillation is recommended", inform everyone to leave the patient's body - press the shock button for defibrillation.

3. Note

Before use, check whether the defibrillator functions properly, whether the power supply is faulty, whether it is sufficiently charged, whether the various wires are broken or in poor contact, and whether the synchronization performance is normal. As a first aid device, the defibrillator should always maintain good performance and the battery should be fully charged so that emergency electric shock defibrillation can be performed at any time in an emergency. Before selective cardioversion, special attention should be paid to checking the synchronization performance, that is, whether the electric pulse falls on the descending branch of the R wave during discharge, and whether a higher lead of the R wave should be selected to trigger synchronous discharge.
