What is the method of making hydroponic nutrient solution

Due to serious environmental pollution, many areas have experienced more smog weather, which will cause great harm to people's health. Therefore, it is necessary to plant some green plants, which can achieve a green and environmentally friendly effect and purify the indoor air quality. However, what plants need most is sufficient water. At this time, water culture nutrient solution is needed, so people can make it themselves at home, which is more convenient to use.

Generally, special nutrient solution for hydroponics sold on the market is used, and the appropriate concentration is prepared according to the instructions, such as diluting 500 times or 800 times. When preparing, the tap water should be left for two hours to half a day, and after its temperature is close to room temperature and the chlorine in the water has evaporated, concentrated nutrient solution is added according to the proportion, and it becomes a nutrient solution for growing hydroponic plants.

First, take your birdbath, or any pot or pan, and find a spot to dig. It is recommended to go to places such as woods where there is a lot of decaying fallen leaves, because there are more nutrients there. Use the shovel in your hand to dig up about ten centimeters of soil on the ground and put it in your pot. The more the better. Put the basin under the faucet, fill it with water, find a wooden stick (other sticks will also work), and stir the water in the basin for 5-10 minutes. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. The water will be a little turbid at this time, but the nutrition is the best. If it's too turbid, just leave it alone. When the water is clear, you can pour the supernatant out of the basin and use it for hydroponics.

Precautions for hydroponic flowers

1. If you use tap water when preparing the nutrient solution, you need to treat the tap water, because most tap water contains chlorides and sulfides, which are harmful to plants. A little bicarbonate can also hinder the roots' absorption of iron. Therefore, when using tap water to prepare nutrient solution, a small amount of sodium EDTA or humate compounds should be added to treat chlorides and sulfides in the water. If peat is used as the substrate for hydroponic flower technology, the above shortcomings can be eliminated. If the groundwater quality is poor, you can use unpolluted river water or lake water to prepare it.

2. If you don't use nutrient solution and only use ordinary hydroponics, it's fine, but the growth will be worse and slow. Normally, the cultivation water in the pot needs to be replaced once every one or two months. Tap water can be used, but it is important to leave the tap water for a while before using it to keep the root temperature stable.

3. Hydroponic flowers are mostly negative and neutral flowers suitable for indoor cultivation, and have their own requirements for light. Negative-looking flowers such as ferns, orchids, and Araceae plants should be moderately shaded; medium-sized flowers such as Monstera, Schefflera, and Poinsettia are not strict about light intensity and usually prefer plenty of sunlight and can grow normally under shade. It is very important to ensure the temperature for normal growth of flowers. The roots of flowers grow better in the range of 15-30 degrees.

4. Pay attention to identifying the root color of flowers to determine whether they are growing better. When the light, temperature and nutrient solution concentration are appropriate, the entire root or root tip will be white. Please note that it is strictly forbidden to use excessive nutrient solution and it is strictly forbidden to shorten the time interval for adding nutrient solution.

5. During the growth of hydroponic flowers, if water droplets are found seeping from the tip of the leaves, it is necessary to lower the water level appropriately to expose more roots to the air and reduce the immersion ratio in water to facilitate oxygen absorption.

Water change knowledge

1. When the temperature is around 20-25℃ (spring and autumn), change the water every 10-15 days. When the temperature is low, the water change time can be appropriately extended, and when the temperature is high, it should be shortened.

2. When raising flower fish together, it is advisable to change the water frequently. It is best to buy a micro air pump of about 3 watts with very low power consumption. Proper inflation can greatly extend the water change time (generally the water can be changed once every 1-2 months).

3. You can use tap water, but it is best to leave it for one to two days. You can also use mineral water or purified water directly. The temperature difference between the original water and the new water should not be too large. Add 6ML bagged nutrient solution into a 2.25L large Coke bottle of clean water before use. Add each bottle cap of 300ML bottled nutrient solution into a 2.25L large Coke bottle of clean water before use. The shelf life of the diluted nutrient water is 6 months, and it should be stored away from sunlight.

4. Due to the adsorption, metabolism and algae activities of the roots, the surface of the roots will be covered with foreign matter after a period of time. When changing the water, you can carefully rinse and clean them with water. If there are old and dead roots, they should be removed when changing the water.

5. There should not be too much water in the bottle. It is best to have about 2/3 of the root length immersed in water.

6. When the temperature is below 10 degrees in winter and above 35 degrees in midsummer, the concentration of nutrient solution should be reduced (generally 1/3-1/2 of the normal level) or only clean water should be used for cultivation.
