Three treatments for sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus

Sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus refers to the symptoms of tinnitus and deafness caused by lesions in the auditory nerve. Since this disease will cause hearing impairment and seriously affect the patient's daily life, effective methods need to be taken to treat it. Generally speaking, sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus can be treated in three ways: drug therapy, replacement therapy, and gene conduction regeneration therapy to eliminate tinnitus and restore hearing.

1. Drug treatment measures

1. All general cases can be treated with hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

2. Choice of intravenous medication: 654-2, prostaglandin E1, salvia miltiorrhiza, naloxone, batroxobin, etc.

3. Neurotrophic drugs such as vitamin B1 and B6.

4. High-priced energy mixture.

2. Alternative Therapies

1. Hearing aid: A sound amplification device that helps the deaf hear sounds. It is mainly composed of a miniature transmitter, an amplifier, headphones, ear molds, a power supply, etc. There are many types of hearing aids. For individual users, there are air conduction and bone conduction, box type and ear-level type (including glasses type, behind-the-ear type, and in-the-ear type), monaural and binaural hearing aids. The correct selection can only be made after a detailed examination by an otolaryngologist or audiologist. Generally speaking, it can be used by people with an average speech frequency hearing loss of 35 to 85 decibels. If the degree of loss in both ears is roughly the same, binaural hearing aids can be used or a monaural hearing aid can be worn alternately in both ears. If the hearing loss in both ears is quite different but does not exceed 50 decibels, a hearing aid should be given to the ear with poorer hearing. If the hearing loss in one ear exceeds 50 decibels, a hearing aid should be given to the ear with better hearing. In addition, the characteristics of hearing impairment should also be considered. For example, hearing aids should be used for ears with higher speech recognition rates, flatter hearing curves, larger bone-air conduction gaps, or wider dynamic hearing ranges. Conductive hearing loss can be treated with either air or bone conduction hearing aids, while patients with stenosis or inflammation of the external auditory canal can only use bone conduction hearing aids. People with sensorineural hearing loss mostly use the air conduction type. People with reverberation need to wear hearing aids with automatic gain control or automatic reverberation control.

2. Cochlear implant: also known as electronic cochlear implant or cochlear implant. It is suitable for young and middle-aged people with bilateral extreme deafness, who are ineffective with high-power hearing aids and have no active lesions in the ears. X-ray or CT examination shows that the inner ear structure is normal, there is no response to the electrocochlear graph, and electrical stimulation of the promontory or round window can induce a brainstem response.

3. Auditory language training: It is still a measure to maximize the use of residual hearing and other sensory organs to train vocalization or speaking ability. The two complement each other and neither can be neglected. Training should start from preschool age. It is advisable to use various methods (sound toys, musical instruments) to awaken children's hearing as early as possible. Develop rough sound discrimination skills. Use windmills, blowing musical instruments and other methods to increase lung capacity, prolong breathing, and make the tongue move flexibly. Then use a loud and clear voice to patiently teach the deaf children to pronounce and speak word by word in their ears for a long time. Use a mirror to correct the mouth shape, touch the cheeks, throat and abdomen of the parents or teachers, etc. to experience the relationship between the strength and pitch of the voice.

3. Gene transfer regeneration therapy to eliminate tinnitus and restore hearing

1. It has the effects of opening up the orifices, unblocking the meridians, benefiting the kidneys, clearing the orifices, detoxifying, activating blood circulation, and improving hearing. It uses Chinese herbal prescriptions in a targeted manner to unblock the meridians and detoxify, nourish the blood and remove blood stasis, nourish yin and replenish qi, and open up the orifices with pure fragrance, and treat deafness and tinnitus through syndrome differentiation.
