In addition, similar drugs (omeprazole, lansoprazole) have been reported to cause hemolytic anemia.

(3) Liver dysfunction: Because liver dysfunction (less than 0.1% to 5%) and jaundice (probability unknown) may occur, once confirmed, the drug should be discontinued and appropriate treatment should be given.

Visual impairment: There have been reports of visual impairment caused by the use of similar drugs (omeprazole) abroad.

【Notes】

Before using rabeprazole sodium to treat gastric or esophageal diseases, the possibility of gastric or esophageal malignancy should be excluded.

Patients receiving long-term treatment (especially those treated for more than one year) should be monitored regularly.

Patients should be aware that Polit tablets should not be chewed or crushed and should be swallowed whole.

Patients with a history of drug allergy should use this product with caution. In addition, there are reports of adverse mental and nervous system reactions in patients with cirrhosis after taking the drug. Therefore, patients with liver damage should use the drug with caution.

【Use during pregnancy and lactation】

Since there are no strictly controlled clinical studies and use experience in pregnant women, it should only be used when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the possible risks to the fetus. It is not known whether rabeprazole sodium can be secreted into human milk (it has been observed in animal experiments that the drug is secreted into breast milk), and there are currently no studies on breastfeeding women. Therefore, rabeprazole sodium should not be prescribed to breastfeeding women. If treatment with rabeprazole sodium is essential, breast-feeding should be discontinued.
