It turns out that it is so easy to make your own enema

Constipation is common among the elderly, especially the ball-shaped stools, which are dry on the outside and squeezed together on the inside. This can cause great pain to the elderly. Some people even use medications to help soften the stools, but long-term use of medications can also cause many complications. So you can use homemade enema tools to do enema at home, which is a more convenient solution.

Constipation may sometimes occur in the elderly, especially spherical stools, which are not only dry on the outside, but sometimes squeezed together, causing great pain to the elderly.

Just use glycerin suppository, enema, or even use your fingers to dig it out. Dry stools can be potentially dangerous for some people with weak bodies or those with chronic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. For this reason, I have designed a practical enema device to facilitate this type of people.

Preparation method

Find a discarded plastic infusion bottle and cut a longer opening at the bottom of the bottle as shown in the picture. This is where you will pour the enema water in in the future.

Insert an infusion set (available at pharmacies, with a drip pot and water stopper) into the mouth of the bottle, then buy a female urinary catheter (outer diameter of about 0.5 cm) and connect it to the lower end of the infusion set catheter, and the enema is complete (as shown in the picture).

operate :

1. First, pour 300-500 ml of warm water into the bottle through the cut end, open the water stop, and let the water flow into the infusion set from above. When water flows out of the urinary catheter, quickly turn over the drip pot so that there is a water surface in the drip pot, place the urinary catheter at a position lower than the drip pot, open the water stop, let the water flush in the tube, and close the water stop.

2 Apply soapy liquid to about 2/3 of the length of the catheter, and also apply some to the anus. Gently insert the catheter into 2/3 of the anus, turn on the water, and observe the water flow in the drip pot. If it is not smooth, adjust the movable catheter back and forth until the water flows smoothly.

3 The user can squat in the toilet to pour the liquid, then kneel, lower the upper body to allow the liquid to flow as much as possible to the upper rectum, until a certain amount of liquid has entered, there will be a clear urge to defecate. Stop the water, remove the catheter, and have a bowel movement.

4 Clean the enema after use and keep it for later use.

The method introduced above is used for temporary difficulty in defecation. If it is habitual constipation, it should be combined with other effective treatments.
