What is the function of acid-alkali cleaning agent

Acid-base cleaners are mainly used to dissolve dirt mainly composed of carbonates and metal oxides. In fact, these dirts exist quite a lot in our daily life, so sometimes the use of acid-base detergents is indispensable. Before using a new boiler, it should be boiled and degreased with alkali. Now let's take a look at some detergents that should be paid attention to during the boiler cleaning process.

1. Function

The function of acidic industrial cleaning agents is to dissolve dirt mainly composed of carbonates and metal oxides. It converts the dirt into a soluble or easily dispersible state by reacting with acids and alkalis. For newly built boilers and boilers containing sulfate scale, alkaline cleaning is required first.

2. Working Principle

NaOH: provides strong alkalinity and removes oil;

Na3 P04: maintains the alkalinity of the cleaning agent, can generate precipitation with Ca2+, Mgz+ ions, and reduce the hardness of water;

Na2 C03: maintains the alkalinity of the cleaning agent, can form precipitation with Caz+, Mgz+ and other ions, reduce the hardness of water, and can also convert sulfates that are not dissolved by acid into soluble carbonates.

3. Three situations require alkaline cooking.

① Before a new boiler is put into use, it needs to be boiled and degreased. Because oily rust inhibitors need to be applied during the manufacture and installation of the boiler, the grease tends to foam during boiler operation and must be de-aged before use.

② Alkali boiling is required before pickling. Because the grease on the surface of the boiler prevents the cleaning liquid from contacting with the scale, it is necessary to boil and remove oil and part of the silicate before pickling, improve the wettability of the scale surface and loosen some dense scale layers, creating favorable conditions for pickling.

③ Transformation of scale type. For hard scale (such as sulfate, etc.) that cannot be dissolved and loosened by acid, it can be reacted with alkaline solution at high temperature to cause transformation, thereby loosening or falling off the hard scale.

Purpose of industrial cleaning agent alkaline cleaning: Use high-strength alkaline liquid to soften, loosen, emulsify and disperse sediment. Sometimes some surfactants are added to increase the alkaline cooking effect. Commonly used to remove oily dirt and silicate scale from boilers. Alkali washing is carried out by circulating alkaline liquid at a certain temperature. The time is generally 6-12 hours, which can be extended depending on the situation.
