Can I use a belly band while sleeping?

Belly belts are not unfamiliar to many people, especially many women who worry about their body shape after giving birth and often use belly belts to restore their figure. There are many types of belly bands, and there are many things to pay attention to when using them. Many people tend to use belly bands incorrectly. So can I use the belly belt while sleeping?

1. Don’t wear a belly band when sleeping

In the first two weeks after delivery, you need to wear a belly band 24 hours a day. In the last two weeks after delivery, you only need to wear it during the day. You don’t need to tie it after the confinement period. It is important to use the belly belt (abdomen belt) reasonably. It is recommended that new mothers use the belly belt early, use it intermittently, and use it with appropriate tightness so that it can play its most effective role. Regarding diet, it is recommended not to eat greasy, fried, and spicy foods, such as fried chicken, ice cream, shachima, etc., and to eat a light diet.

2. Using a belly belt to sleep at night is harmful

Because this is not conducive to blood circulation and is harmful to health, it is best not to use it when sleeping to avoid affecting breathing. It is recommended to pay attention to rest, eat a reasonable diet, do not eat too spicy food, eat regularly, and exercise more. The belly band is very elastic and is tied very tightly. Wearing it normally will affect blood circulation, and the impact will be even greater if you wear it while sleeping at night.

3. Others

Sometimes, improper use of a belly band (belly belt) can be detrimental to the health of new mothers. During pregnancy, the pelvic ligaments and connective tissues are overly stretched by the pregnant uterus, which can easily lead to postpartum relaxation. If the abdominal belt is too tight, the intra-abdominal pressure will increase significantly, affecting appetite. In severe cases, it can also cause sagging of the internal reproductive organs, such as bulging of the anterior and posterior walls of the vagina, prolapse of the uterus, etc., which brings many inconveniences to the lives of new mothers and causes postpartum urinary incontinence and other phenomena.
