Why does the bone in the left buttock hurt?

If you have bone pain in your left buttock, you need to know whether it is caused by sciatica, because this phenomenon is quite common in life. If it is sciatica, you can use massage, acupuncture, and hot compress methods for comprehensive treatment. At the same time, the patient should pay attention to rest more and avoid excessive fatigue. When the pain is severe, you can also use some sedatives or some anti-inflammatory hormone treatments.

1. Etiological treatment: For patients with severe pain, treatment should be targeted at the cause. If it is caused by rheumatism, anti-rheumatic treatment should be given; if it is caused by lumbar disc herniation, lumbar traction therapy and massage should be performed; if it is caused by bone hyperplasia, bone hyperplasia disturbing drugs should be used; if it is caused by degenerative spinal disease, calcium supplements can be used appropriately.

2. Bed rest: For those with severe pain, bed rest can reduce the tension and reactive edema of nerves and diseased tissues, and help relieve symptoms. When the pain symptoms are slightly relieved, you can practice appropriate activities, regularly according to your ability every day, and gradually increase the amount of activities to help restore function.

3. Analgesics and sedatives: Analgesics should be taken when pain is severe and the daily dosage should be limited. Sedatives can be taken orally for a short period of time during the acute phase, and taken before bedtime when the condition has eased, to facilitate adequate rest and promote recovery from the disease.

4. Hormones: They have anti-inflammatory, detumescent, desensitizing and analgesic effects, especially in the acute phase or when accompanied by extensive adhesions. They can be taken orally for a short period of time to avoid side effects due to long-term use of the drug.

5. Physical therapy, acupuncture and massage: help relieve symptoms and speed up recovery.

6. There are many treatments for sciatic nerve, but no specific treatment has been found yet. Western medicine mainly consists of taking painkillers and hormone drugs; traditional Chinese medicine adopts comprehensive treatments such as massage, acupuncture, hot compress, and oral Chinese medicine, with obvious results. The treatment of this disease is generally conservative, and surgical treatment is relatively rare.
