How to remove oil stains on paper without an iron?

Paper is something that people use very widely. Its existence solves many problems of knowledge inheritance, and paper is known as one of the four great inventions of mankind. However, paper is used in all aspects of modern life. Paper in various environments is easily affected by stains, especially oil stains, which have the greatest impact. Let’s take a look at how to remove oil stains from paper without an iron.

Method 1:

1. When paper is stained with oil, put a piece of absorbent paper on the oil stain and gently iron it several times with an iron. The oil stain will be absorbed into the paper, making the paper smooth and clean.

2. If the paper is stained with ink, put a piece of absorbent paper under the paper stained with ink, soak the stain with 20% hydrogen peroxide solution, and then put another piece of absorbent paper on the paper and press it with a heavy object. In this way, the ink will be dissolved and absorbed by the hydrogen peroxide, and the ink marks will naturally disappear after drying.

3. If there are damp marks on the paper, you can wash it with alum solution. If it is rust stains, you can wipe it off with oxalic acid or citric acid, then wash the pages with clean water, press them with blotting paper, and dry them in the sun.

Method 2:

Step 1: Get a basin of warm water, add an appropriate amount of dishwashing detergent and dilute it into a solution. (Note that you should use warm water. It is better to replace the detergent with a special degreaser.)

Step 2: Dip cotton wool (napkin) into the solution and gently wipe the oily areas on the pages. (Reduce the oil stains on the book and make the pages moist. Please be careful not to make the book too wet)

Step 3: Place dried napkins soaked in detergent solution on the upper and lower sides of the pages. Dip a cotton swab in a little water and apply a little water to the stained paper. When it softens, quickly absorb it with cotton. Repeat several times. Note that you need to place a clean thick paper under the dirty page before starting the above steps. (The thickness of the napkin should be moderate, the temperature of the iron should be appropriate, and the napkin should be changed every few times of ironing)

If there are a lot of pages, you need to be patient and work slowly to find the right degree, and be careful not to wrinkle the paper.
