3. [Original form] Veined sheep's ear orchid, perennial herb. The rhizome is well-developed, brown, and horizontal, with several slender roots on it; the pseudobulb is slender, cylindrical, up to 8 cm long and 6 mm thick, with 3-5 leaves. The leaves are ovate to oblong, 10-15cm long, acuminate at the apex, entire, and sheath-like at the base. [Pharmacological action] Hemostatic effect: The water decoction (1:1) treated with activated carbon, applied locally, has a hemostatic effect on bleeding caused by cutting the femoral artery of dogs and monkeys or amputating the hind limbs of anesthetized dogs.
