Ice compress. After sunburn, return indoors immediately and apply ice water to the sunburned area for about 15 minutes. It is best to keep alternating the application until the skin feels cool and returns to its original color and temperature. 5. Milk facial mask. Applying ice milk to the sunburned area can quickly relieve the burning and pain after sunburn. When the pain is almost gone, rinse it off with cold water and then apply after-sun repair gel. 6. Use moisturizing gel. Apply a moisturizing lotion containing moisturizing ingredients on your face and gently press your face with your palms to promote the skin's absorption of moisture.
