Tips for dealing with sudden diarrhea

Tips for dealing with sudden diarrhea

The baby's health is a very common situation in daily life, which makes parents worry because it will cause great harm to the baby's physical health. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand the cause and learn some treatment methods. It can be treated through diet adjustment, medication, massage and daily care. Friends in need can try it.

1. Diet adjustment

The baby has diarrhea, which makes the mother very worried. Mothers can start with diet and use food to alleviate their baby's diarrhea. If the baby has diarrhea but there is no obvious vomiting, the mother can give the baby some easily digestible foods such as scorched rice soup, carrot soup, porridge, soft noodles, green leafy vegetables, etc. to help the baby relieve the condition and speed up recovery.

2. Drug treatment

The baby's gastrointestinal system is relatively fragile. What medicine should the baby take if he has diarrhea? First, you should go to the hospital to test your stool, and then receive symptomatic treatment. At the same time, if your baby has diarrhea, you must pay attention to whether he has symptoms of dehydration. If he is dehydrated, he must be given fluids. Moreover, the medications used by your baby must be under the guidance of a professional pediatrician. Never purchase medications on your own. The amount of medication your baby can use is strictly limited.

3. Massage

If it is found that the baby has diarrhea caused by cold, you can also try massaging the baby. Spread your palms, place them on the baby's abdomen, and gently rub counterclockwise for about 50 times, or for about 2 minutes. This massage technique can help children stop diarrhea and promote gastrointestinal function. It should be noted that you must massage counterclockwise, that is, against the direction of the intestines.

Reminder: Before giving your child a massage, be sure to prepare the baby oil and apply it evenly on the massage area, being gentle enough.

4. Daily care

The harm of diarrhea is mainly caused by the loss of a large amount of water and electrolytes, so it is very important to replenish water and electrolytes in time. When the baby has diarrhea but normal urine volume and no dehydration symptoms such as dry mouth, the amount of self-prepared sugar and salt solution fed to the child should be equal to the amount of stool. When the amount of stool cannot be determined, it can be calculated according to 20-40 ml/kg body weight and completed within 4 hours. Take it orally at any time in the future, and drink as much as you excrete. When feeding sugar and salt water to babies under two years old, you can feed 1 teaspoon, about 5 ml, every 1 to 2 minutes; older children can drink directly from a cup. If the baby vomits, you can pause. Feed slowly after 10 minutes, 1 spoonful every 2 to 3 minutes. Stop taking the medicine once the diarrhea stops.
