What's up with the white particles on the inside of the eyelids

Clinically, the symptoms of many diseases occur on the eyelids, so when there are problems with the eyelids, we must pay attention to them. Many people don’t know what’s going on when they find small white particles on the inside of their eyelids. This situation is closely related to many factors, and some people confuse such symptoms with various diseases, so it is still necessary to understand the cause and prescribe the right medicine.

1. White spots on the eyelids

White spots on the eyelids are mainly seen in two situations. One is sty (commonly known as stye or corner eye), and you can often feel a lump on the eyelid and there is pain and tenderness. The second possibility is conjunctival stones. Deeper stones may not have any symptoms and are only discovered during examination. Stones that protrude from the surface can cause a foreign body sensation and pain. I suggest you go to the hospital for a check-up.

2. Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is mainly caused by bacterial infection, which can cause small white spots and itching inside the eyelids, and requires oral and external application of medication. It is recommended to take vitamin C tablets, vitamin B2 tablets and cefixime tablets. In addition, erythromycin eye ointment can be applied externally. Pay attention to rest, drink plenty of water, eat light food, and avoid spicy and irritating foods and greasy fried foods. Pay attention to eye hygiene and keep your eyes clean.

3. Others

This may be caused by staying up late, excessive rubbing of eyes, etc. It is recommended to ensure adequate sleep, keep a good mood, avoid excessive use of eyes, especially use mobile phones and computers as little as possible, avoid rubbing eyes, apply hot compresses and massage to the eyes to keep the eyes clean. In addition, needle-tip-sized white particles in the eyelids may be conjunctival stones, which are long-term complications of chronic conjunctivitis. If the stone protrudes from the conjunctiva, it may rub against the cornea, causing an obvious foreign body sensation and tearing. It is recommended to go to the hospital's ophthalmology department for needle tip removal surgery.
