How many ways are there to zip up a duvet cover?

Everyone spends a lot of time sleeping every day. Most of the quilt covers on people's beds have zippers. It is very convenient to install zippers on quilts, and you can easily get the cotton wool into the quilt covers. But if you pay attention in life, you will find that there is not just one kind of zipper on the quilt cover, but many ways, such as the following methods are very popular.

How many ways are there to zip up a duvet cover?

1. Choose the fabric to be used for the pillow, cut it into a size of 47cm×98cm, take a 43cm long zipper, fold the 47 side of the fabric inward as shown in the direction to make the zipper the same width, and sew the zipper with the front side facing down on the folded side. When sewing, be sure to leave a 2cm margin at both the beginning and the end.

2. After the zipper is ready, open the other half

3. Align the other 47cm side with the side of the sewn half zipper. Place the opened half zipper on the other side for alignment as shown in the picture (with the zipper front patch and the locking teeth facing outwards).

4. After comparison, start sewing 5. Align the zipper heads on both sides.

6. After putting on the zipper head, close the zipper and sew the two pieces of cloth at the end of the zipper together as shown in the picture.

7. Press the zipper tail back and forth to prevent the slider from derailing.

The zipper must be sewn on. There are two types of zippers, a flat zipper and an invisible zipper. If the waist is not very thick, it is recommended to use the invisible one, which looks better. The method of putting on the zipper is: put on the upper cloth first, then the lining cloth, or you can put on several layers at the same time, depending on the style! Are you making clothes? To put on an invisible zipper, you need to use the right-side presser foot!

The invisible zipper foot is an easy and quick way to install a zipper, because it does not require false stitching and front stitching. Using the invisible zipper foot, it can stitch the stitches as close to the zipper teeth as possible, so that the zipper looks like it has "disappeared" in the garment when viewed from the front. Install this zipper before sewing the garment pieces. Unzip the zipper before installing it, and use a low-temperature iron to iron the zipper teeth as flat as possible. Do not close the zipper when installing it. There are two types of presser feet that can be used to install invisible zippers, one is a single-sided presser foot, and the other is a grooved presser foot. Pay attention to the position when installing the presser foot. For the single-sided presser foot, make sure the needle is against the edge of the presser foot. When using a grooved presser foot, make sure the needle is aligned with the gap in the middle of the presser foot so that the zipper teeth run under the groove. When installing the zipper, install the zipper on the left first, and sew from the top to the bottom until the end of the zipper, then start from the bottom and sew the zipper on the other side. Pay attention to the consistent height. When sew the zipper, the stitches should be as close to the zipper teeth as possible. Sew to the appropriate position, and then complete the assembly of the garment pieces. Keeping this in mind will allow the zipper to be sewn smoothly onto the garment without leaving a gap. It is recommended to start sewing as close to the end of the zipper as possible, and then sew the gap by hand, sew it completely by machine, or use a zipper foot to achieve the most closed effect.
