How to deal with termites flying into the house

Termites are insects that prefer a slightly humid temperature, so temperature is the main factor affecting their distribution. That is why termites are distributed on both sides of the equator. The closer to the equator, the more termite species there are, the greater the density, and the more complex their lifestyle. Generally speaking, the temperature in people's homes is particularly popular with termites, so termites will fly back home. Today I will tell you how to deal with termites flying into your home.

The first is to carry out termite prevention treatment on the house, which is the key to termite prevention and control. All newly built, renovated, expanded, and decorated houses should implement termite prevention treatment. This is to cut off the termite food left on the site, indirectly kill the termites and reduce the possibility of termites survival.

Second, pre-treat house decoration materials to avoid bringing termites into the house. Pretreatment can be done by brushing or soaking with termite medicine, or by high temperature treatment above 60°C. The best way to prevent termites during decoration is to spray the house with comprehensive drugs after the interior wall renovation is completed, so as to destroy the overall space for termites to live.

Third, keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, dry and ventilated. Winged adult termites often fly from outdoors toward the light and into indoors. Therefore, doors and windows should be closed or screens should be installed in the evenings of June and July to prevent termites from flying into indoors. If you find winged reproductive ants flying into the room, you can place a basin of water under the lamp to lure the flying termites into the water, or you can spray them with pest control agents.

4. If termites are flying out of the house, it means that there are adult termite nests in the house. At this time, you must avoid hasty handling and self-treatment to avoid treating the symptoms but not the root cause. Contact the termite control department in time and ask professional personnel to carry out the extermination.

Generally, staff from a termite company or termite control center will come to your home to handle the situation. It is recommended to find a qualified termite company, because termite companies rely on technology to make a living, and without the protection of a stable job, they will do a better job.

If you are applying the medicine yourself, it is recommended to use a termite spray powder ball. Specifically, find the location of termite damage by visual observation, knocking, etc.---put the medicine on the termites. Generally, put the termite medicine in the spray powder ball, and press 2-3 times to put it in a position. If you can't see the termites, you can put it on the termite's ant path and ant line. Termites generally pass through the ant path and ant line. You can also use a screwdriver to drill holes in the termite-damaged area, spray termite medicine powder onto the ant-affected area, and then plug the small holes with cotton or paper towels, because termites are afraid of light---after 7 to 10 days, the termites will die one after another.

Note: Good termite medicine will not kill termites immediately, but will take about a week to kill termites slowly, because this is the only way for the termites to be fully infected by the medicine. I hope the above answers can help you.
