Tumor is a very common disease, and most of them will have a great impact on people's bodies, causing patients to have various serious complications or even life-threatening conditions. Tumors are divided into benign and malignant types, and the difference between them is quite complicated. Many people do not quite understand them. For example, are all tumors without blood flow signals benign? Let’s take a look at the explanation below. Many people find lumps in certain parts of their body during physical examinations, and there are blood flow signals near these lumps, so they worry that they are malignant tumors. So, is it true that all blood flow signals indicate malignant tumors? Not necessarily. We can only say that most of the tumors with blood flow signals are malignant tumors. Some people may ask, what exactly is a blood flow signal? This is a relatively professional term, and many people probably have never heard of it, but from the literal meaning, we can only guess that it is related to blood. The so-called blood flow signal, explained from a professional point of view, refers to the degree of blood flow to the tumor in the human body. Generally, we divide it into 4 levels according to the degree of blood flow: When no blood flow signal appears in the lump, it can be called level 0; when a blood flow signal appears in the lump, a small amount of blood flow appears in the lump, which is level 1, that is, only one or two dot-like blood flow signals can be seen; a moderate amount of blood flow appears in the lump, which is level 2, that is, three or four dot-like blood flow signals can be seen, or a blood vessel with clear walls can be seen; abundant blood flow appears in the lump, which is level 3, that is, more than four dot-like blood flow signals can be seen, or two blood vessels with clear walls can be seen. Generally speaking, since benign tumors do not have as rich blood supply as malignant tumors, blood flow signals of levels 0 to 1 are mostly benign tumors, while blood flow signals of levels 2 to 3 are mostly malignant tumors. Although the benign or malignant nature of a tumor is greatly related to the richness of the blood flow signal within the tumor, it is not absolute. One situation is sufficient to illustrate this point. For example, in some larger benign breast tumors, blood flow signals are found to be very abundant, but in some small malignant breast tumors, no blood flow signals are observed. This shows that the presence of abundant blood flow signals does not necessarily mean that the tumor is malignant, because it is also related to the small size of the tumor. Because of its small size, there are fewer new blood vessels on the tumor, and the blood vessels are thinner, which makes the blood flow slower. Or modern scientific instruments have limitations and cannot detect it, so it is very likely that the blood flow signal is not strong or does not exist. |
