Parents insult their children

Parents insult their children

Not everyone is suitable to be a parent. Some people have a bad temper and will still lose their temper when facing their children, making the children feel scared. Some parents pursue strict education. If their children do something wrong, they will yell at them or even insult them. At this time, children are very confused and they don’t know what to do to get their parents’ understanding. So, what are the dangers of parents scolding their children?

1. Often deny your child

Some parents always say negative things to their children. For example, when the child wants to do something, the parents think the child can't do it, so they deny that the child can't do it. When the child gets bad grades on the test, they call the child stupid. Parents' intentional or unintentional denial leaves hurt in their children's hearts. Accustomed to being denied by their parents, children will more often think of their parents' words "you can't do it" when doing things. Over time, children will doubt their own abilities. Especially when children encounter difficulties, they will doubt their abilities even more, and their inferiority complex will gradually increase.

2. Comparing children

Some parents demand the best from their children and like to talk about the advantages of other people's children. Especially when your own children do not do something well enough, you always like to tell your children to look at so-and-so, and compare the advantages of other children with the shortcomings of your own children, which will cause your children to become more and more inferior. Over time, children will also look at things from a comparative perspective, and will easily become inferior, hypocritical, and submissive.

3. Insulting and mocking children

Scolding children for not living up to expectations, scolding children for doing something wrong, scolding children for being too naughty, parents' behavior of insulting children will not only fail to solve the problems created by the children. On the contrary, it will make the child feel that his parents do not understand him at all, and that his parents only have complaints and accusations towards him in their hearts. If this continues for a long time, the child will gradually become alienated from his parents, his self-esteem will be severely damaged, and his inferiority complex will gradually strengthen. Especially when children do something wrong or encounter difficulties, their parents' insults and ridicule are more likely to ring in their ears.

4. Frequently drop children

Some parents pursue perfection and have high expectations for their children. When they see their children's shortcomings, they often speak to their children in a nitpicking tone. For example, they often tell their children, "Why are you not doing this well? Why didn't you do that right? You shouldn't do that." Parents’ scolding is just venting their dissatisfaction, but it puts all the negative emotions into the children’s hearts. When children encounter new or similar problems in the future, the psychological pressure will increase, and they will think of their parents' scolding and become more concerned. Gradually you will become less confident and more and more inferior.

5. Often complain about being poor to your children

When faced with children's endless desire to shop and spend money, many parents often use the method of crying poor to their children. Complaining about being poor to a child will make him feel like a poor person who does not deserve good and expensive things. The results often tend towards two aspects. One is that the child becomes more and more materialistic and tries hard to please rich people. The other is that the child becomes inferior and conceited, thinking that he is poor and unworthy of any good things.
