1. Leg Injury

You can also wrap ice cubes in a plastic bag or towel and apply it to the swollen part of the legs, or directly apply a towel wet with cold water to the legs. In short, don't let your legs stay still, and the swelling will gradually subside.

3. Excessive exercise leads to leg swelling

Sometimes, leg swelling may occur when the amount of exercise increases. First of all, you should gradually increase the amount of exercise, not suddenly. Do more warm-up exercises before exercise, and then be sure to do some gentle body movements after exercise. Do not rest immediately. At the same time, you can rinse your legs with cold water and imitate the cold compress technique.

4. Hyperthyroidism causes leg swelling

If you suffer from hyperthyroidism, it is likely to cause leg swelling. At this time, you should strictly control your diet, especially avoid iodized salt, eat less seafood, eat more fruits, apples and oranges are recommended, eat starchy foods such as noodles, steamed buns, pumpkin, potatoes, etc., supplement protein and calcium in moderation, it is recommended to drink milk, and if it is very serious, it is recommended to go to the hospital for surgery.

5. Drinking too much water before going to bed causes leg swelling

Drinking too much water before going to bed will cause leg swelling after waking up. You only need to adjust the amount of water you drink before going to bed, and then eat more diuretic foods, such as watermelon, mung beans, winter melon, etc., to excrete excess water retained in the body. After waking up, exercise your legs slightly, about a quarter of an hour, and the leg swelling can be reduced.

6. Kidney disease causes leg swelling
