Domestic demand currently relies on imports from abroad, with the import price being RMB 10,000 per ton. It is estimated that the annual domestic demand for phosphorus-free detergents will reach 500,000 to 800,000 tons. Layered crystalline sodium disilicate has four different crystal structures (a-, b-, g-, d-), among which the anhydrous d-Na2Si2O5 is the most ideal.

The production process of sorbitol can be divided into two methods: dry method and wet method. The dry method is usually used to produce solid sorbitol, which is then dissolved and converted into liquid sorbitol of the required specifications. The conversion rate is 1:2.5. The raw materials for producing phytosterol are quartz sand and pure alkali. The two are mixed in a certain proportion and sent to a reverberatory kiln. After high-temperature calcination and water quenching in a melting furnace, they are packaged to produce solid phytosterol. Solid sorbitan is convenient for transportation and storage. Liquid sorbitol is obtained by dissolving solid sorbitol into liquid under a certain temperature and pressure.
