Will laser hair removal affect sweating?

Will laser hair removal affect sweating?

There are many hair removal techniques, including traditional direct scraping and the more advanced laser hair removal. Modern people tend to choose more advanced techniques. Laser hair removal is a technique that people like very much. The efficiency of laser hair removal is very high and can quickly achieve the purpose of hair removal. However, some people worry that laser hair removal will affect health. For example, will laser hair removal affect sweating?

The human body sweats mainly through the eccrine glands, while laser hair removal removes the hair follicles. The hair follicles and sweat glands are two independent tissues. Hair grows from hair follicles, while sweat glands are next to the hair follicles. The two are not the same thing. Therefore, it will not harm the sweat glands and will not affect perspiration!

Principle of laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is based on the principle of selective photothermal dynamics. Lasers adjusted to specific wavelengths and energies are used to penetrate the epidermis and irradiate the hair follicles. The thermal effect causes necrosis of the hair follicles, thus achieving permanent hair removal.

Five factors that affect the effect of laser hair removal

1. Wavelength

Light has a wavelength, and different substances have different absorption efficiencies for light of different wavelengths. Therefore, scientists have found a suitable wavelength range (600-1100 nm) that allows the laser beam to penetrate deep into the hair follicles and allow melanin to absorb the most laser energy, thereby achieving the effect of destroying the hair follicles. The commonly used laser wavelength on the market is 694nm~1200nm, which can be strongly absorbed by melanin and has good penetrating power.

Therefore, as long as the correct wavelength is selected and the operation is done properly, laser hair removal will not cause great harm to the skin!

2. Energy density

The higher the energy, the better the therapeutic effect, but the more painful it is. Therefore, the most suitable density is the one that does not cause side effects and is pain that the person removing hair can tolerate. On the contrary, generally speaking, if there is no pain during hair removal or the local skin does not react, it may be that the energy density is too low.

3. Number of hair removal

The number of hair removals is related to the hair removal effect. The better the hair removal effect, the fewer the number of hair removals. Of course, the hair removal effect is related to a series of factors.
