Are white mushrooms poisonous?

Mushrooms have extremely high nutritional value and can be made into delicious food on the table with a variety of ingredients. The taste of mushrooms is very delicate, but there are many types of mushrooms, and the colors of different types of mushrooms are also very different. When picking them in the wild, you must distinguish them in time. It is best not to pick mushrooms with very bright colors to avoid poisoning. So are white mushrooms poisonous?

First, are white mushrooms poisonous? Be careful when picking mushrooms. There are more than 300 kinds of edible mushrooms found in my country, more than 100 kinds of poisonous mushrooms, and 10 of them are extremely poisonous. Wild mushroom poisoning has obvious seasonality, often occurring in summer and autumn when the temperature is high and there is a lot of rain. Since there is no clear distinction between poisonous and non-toxic mushrooms, it is easy for inexperienced people to confuse them when picking them. Be especially careful when picking wild mushrooms. Wild mushrooms that are brightly colored, have warts, spots, cracks, bubbles, pulp, easily cracked stems, or are strangely shaped are not edible. Never pick and eat wild mushrooms that you don't recognize or have never eaten before.

Second, how to identify poisonous wild mushrooms? First, look at the color. The surface of poisonous mushrooms is brightly colored, including red, green, ink black, purple, etc.; second, look at the shape. The cap of non-toxic mushrooms is relatively flat, the umbrella surface is smooth, there are no wheels on the surface, and there is no sterile tray at the bottom. The center of the poisonous cap is convex and has a strange shape. The surface of umbrella-shaped mushrooms often appears like fish scales, with ring-shaped protrusions on the stem and irregular protrusions at the bottom of the stem. The third is to look at the secretions. Tear off the stems of the picked wild mushrooms. The non-toxic secretions are clear like water (some are white), while the poisonous secretions are thick and reddish brown. Fourth, smell the smell. Non-toxic mushrooms have a special fragrance, while poisonous mushrooms have a strange smell. The fourth is testing. When picking wild mushrooms, you can rub the cap with green onions. If the green onions turn green-brown, it proves to be poisonous.

Are white mushrooms poisonous? You must be careful when eating mushrooms. As we all know, many poisonous mushrooms are brightly colored, but not all white mushrooms are edible. The common oyster mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, and even matsutake mushrooms in people’s daily lives may produce toxins that are harmful to our health if they are not cooked thoroughly.
