Stomach pain from eating sour food

Stomach pain from eating sour food

Everyone has different tastes in life. Some people like sour food, while others like spicy food. These two tastes will cause great irritation to the stomach without exception. Therefore, whether you eat sour or spicy food, you should try to eat less. When you eat sour food, the acidic substances in it will irritate the gastric mucosa, and some people will experience stomach pain. Why does stomach pain occur when eating acidic foods?

The symptoms suggest erosive gastritis. Eating sour or sweet foods causes gastric acid secretion that irritates the gastric mucosa and causes pain. It is recommended that you pay attention to a regular, clean and easily digestible diet, eat less raw, cold, spicy, overly sour and sweet foods, and avoid irritation to the gastrointestinal tract. Generally, it will not aggravate the condition.

What is better to eat when you have a bad stomach? And what should you not eat when you have a bad stomach?

1. Increase dietary fiber intake

Vegetables, fruits, brown rice, and oatmeal are all good sources of fiber. People with thin gastrointestinal mucosa or ulcers are best to choose staple foods or vegetables with finer fibers and high water-soluble fiber content. At the same time, you should also eat more stomach-strengthening foods, such as cheese, burdock, papaya, fungus, etc. Among the effects and functions of papaya is the effect of strengthening the spleen and digesting food.

2. Avoid eating acidic, cold and hard foods

If you have a bad stomach, you should eat less acidic fruits such as apples and pears, and eat more bananas and kiwis. It is also good to drink some honey (cauliflower honey, chrysanthemum honey, and chrysanthemum honey) in moderation. Avoid tobacco and alcohol, cold and hard foods, and try to eat less sticky and thick foods such as glutinous rice, as they can easily cause indigestion. Drink a cup of hot milk or soy milk in the morning and evening, and the treatment effect will be more lasting using diet therapy.

3. Eat more balanced meals with high nutritional value, soft and easy to digest

Choose a balanced diet menu that is high in nutritional value, soft and easy to digest, such as milk, eggs, soy milk, fish, lean meat, etc., which should be processed and cooked to make them soft, easy to digest and non-irritating to the gastrointestinal tract; also supplement with enough heat energy, protein and vitamins. At the same time, choose foods rich in B vitamins, vitamin A and vitamin C; the staple food is mainly pasta. You can eat whatever nourishes your stomach and eat more of it.

4. Avoid foods that are too mechanically and chemically stimulating

Mechanical stimulation increases damage to the mucosa and destroys the gastric mucosal barrier, such as recipes such as coarse grains, celery, leeks, snow vegetables, bamboo shoots and dried fruits; chemical stimulation increases gastric acid secretion and stimulates the gastric mucosa, such as coffee, strong tea, spirits, thick broth, etc.

5. Eat small and frequent meals

Eat at regular times and in regular amounts every day, and don't overeat; if conditions permit, it is best to eat small meals frequently, 5-7 meals a day.

6. Cooking Method

Cooking methods such as steaming, boiling, blanching, roasting, stewing and braising can be used. It is not advisable to process food by frying, deep-frying, stir-frying, stewing with vinegar, and mixing cold dishes.

7. Keep a happy mood

When eating, you should be in a good mood and chew slowly to facilitate digestion; prepare delicious meals according to your own dietary habits; and provide soft foods with less crude fiber.
