What is the reason for white hair on both sides

As we all know, our hair turns white only when we get older because the melanin gradually decreases. But some friends, for some unknown reason, have gray hair at a young age. Some people even have white hair only on their temples. What is the cause of this? In fact, if this situation is caused by nature, it is often due to genetics. If it is acquired, it may be caused by nutritional deficiency.

What causes white hair

Under normal circumstances, there are abundant blood vessels in the hair papilla, which provide sufficient nutrition to the hair papilla and hair bulb, so that melanin granules can be synthesized smoothly. Gray hair occurs when the formation of melanin particles in the hair papilla and hair bulb is obstructed, or when they are formed but cannot be transported to the hair due to some factors, causing the melanin particles in the hair medulla and cortex to decrease or disappear.

Gray hair refers to the complete or partial whitening of hair, which can be divided into congenital and acquired types. Congenital hoary hair often has a family history, with localized hoary hair being more common and seeing more at the front headline. There are two types of acquired gray hair: senile gray hair and juvenile gray hair. Some are old and frail but have few grey hairs. Juvenile graying of hair occurs in children and adolescents, and often has a family history. Apart from the increase in gray hair, it does not affect physical health. Sometimes the sudden occurrence of gray hair during adolescence is related to nutritional disorders.

In general, nutritional deficiencies, chronic mental stress, and lack of sunlight can also cause hair to turn gray. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that gray hair is caused by kidney yin deficiency. Weak kidney function leads to a slowdown in the body's metabolic function. Therefore, the treatment of gray hair should first replenish kidney yin and treat it fundamentally. In addition, some skin diseases such as vitiligo can also cause gray hair. Normal people usually start to have gray hair at the age of 35. If it appears earlier, it is best to seek treatment. White hair caused by congenital heredity is difficult to treat, but white hair caused by acquired reasons can be improved through treatment.

In addition, there are many diseases nowadays that can cause the early appearance of gray hair, so if you have gray hair early, you must not ignore it. The diseases that currently cause gray hair include endocrine disorders such as hypopituitarism and hyperthyroidism, wasting diseases such as tuberculosis, typhoid fever, pernicious anemia, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, etc., which are all diseases that have been discovered to be related to the turning of hair from black to white.

What is missing when growing white hair

If there is a lack of nutrients, it will also cause the growth of white hair. Hair growth requires nutrients. Different races have different hair colors. Caucasians have golden hair, brown people have reddish-black hair, and we yellow people have brown-black hair because the pigment particles in our hair contain copper, cobalt, and iron. If our diet lacks inorganic salts such as copper, cobalt, and iron for a long time, it will naturally affect the synthesis of melanin and turn hair from black to white. In addition, medical clinical observations have shown that if the body lacks protein, vegetable oil, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, and vitamin B6 for a long time, the hair will turn from black to white.

In addition, if a person is overly nervous, anxious, severely traumatized, or has a headache, it can cause nerve dysfunction, hair malnutrition, and gray hair.
