How to choose myopia lenses

How to choose myopia lenses

If we observe carefully, we will find that more and more people are wearing glasses now. It may be because there is a lot of pressure in work and study nowadays, and children are exposed to electronic products from a very young age, which will definitely have an impact on their eyesight. This is why many children now need to wear glasses from an early age. So how should you choose myopia lenses when you go to an optical shop to get glasses? It is also very important to choose lenses that suit you.

1. The first step is to choose a professional eyewear store, or a local reputable old store. Don’t go to small street shops, because the quality of their products may not be good even if they try to fool you.

2. You need to know your refractive condition and consider your age. If it is your first time to wear glasses, then do not consider progressive multifocal lenses. If the optometrist does not use a comprehensive ophthalmometer for your eyesight and does not conduct a very professional examination, then you should not easily choose glasses for the prevention and control of myopia in adolescents.

3. When choosing, you can generally choose the frame of your favorite style and material. If you like international first-line brands, the prices can be searched online. As long as it is not too expensive, it is acceptable. After all, the cost of opening a store is higher than online.

As for lenses, if the power is not too high, within 400 degrees, 1.50 and 1.56 are both options, but I personally recommend 1.50 (some brands also recommend 1.499) lenses. The refractive index of 1.56 is neither too high nor too low, so I won’t go into details.

Of course, if you have money, you can also choose 1.60, which has a high overall cost performance, is light and comfortable, but of course it is a little more expensive. It is recommended to choose any temperature below 600 degrees. If you want thinness and lightness above 600 degrees, then 1.67 is the price, which also rises sharply.

Generally, the ratio of domestic brands is around 1.50:200, 1.56:300, 1.60:400, and 1.67:500 or above.

International brands are generally around 700-900, 1.50-1.56

1.60 is basically more than 1000

I would like to add here that the higher the refractive index, the thinner the lens. The price is also higher.

Then there are anti-blue light lenses, which are a popular product recently. Of course, for users who use computers, iPads and mobile phones for a long time, they are worth choosing. The basic model costs around 400 yuan. What I am talking about here is basically a refractive index of 1.50-1.56.
