Early symptoms of stye

Early symptoms of stye

Stye is a common eye disease in daily life. It is generally caused by people not paying attention to eye hygiene or letting their eyes get too tired. Stye is an inflammation caused by eye infection, so after suffering from stye, there will be symptoms such as suppuration around the eye, and in severe cases it is estimated that it will affect vision. Below we will introduce the early symptoms of stye so that you can receive symptomatic treatment.

1. External sty There are two kinds of glands on the eyelid. The sebaceous gland at the root of the eyelashes opens to the hair follicles. The meibomian gland is located near the junctional membrane and buried in the tarsal plate. It opens to the eyelid margin. Stye is an acute suppurative inflammation of these two glands. Symptoms of sty: The bacteria that cause sty are mostly Staphylococcus aureus, so sty is mostly a purulent inflammation. The main clinical manifestations are local redness, swelling, pain, nodules and yellow pus spots.

2. Symptoms of a stye include the appearance of pus with a yellow head on the eyelid around the base of the eyelashes. The eyelid skin around the pus head becomes swollen and inflamed. The early symptoms of stye include pain or tenderness, which is also an important symptom of stye. If you find these early symptoms of stye, take timely measures to avoid it developing into a serious stye. At this time, you can use methods such as moist hot compresses or magnetic field therapy to promote infiltration absorption or rapid suppuration of nodules.

3. Localized redness, swelling, heat and pain on the eyelid skin, and edema of the adjacent conjunctiva. When pus accumulates locally, yellow pus heads appear. External hordeolum occurs in the sebaceous glands at the root of the eyelashes and manifests itself on the skin surface; internal hordeolum occurs in the meibomian glands and manifests itself on the conjunctival surface. After rupture and drainage of pus, the pain will be relieved and the redness and swelling will subside. Severe cases are accompanied by enlarged and tender preauricular and submandibular lymph nodes, general chills, fever, etc.
