Is glass ion filling good?

We all know that with the widespread use of negative ions in medicine and cosmetology, many people have also discovered the benefits of negative ions and want to apply this high-tech application in all aspects. For some people with dental diseases, when they have toothache, they will feel particularly painful, because toothache is not a disease, but it hurts so much that it is deadly. So is glass ion filling a good method?

1. Glass ionomer. Glass ionomer resin is a tooth-colored filling material. It is usually used on deciduous teeth, near the gums and tooth necks. It adheres closely to the teeth and the fluoride it releases helps strengthen the teeth and prevents tooth decay. Sensitivity after fillings is also rare. However, glass ionomer is softer and less wear-resistant than amalgam.

2. Silver amalgam. A highly plastic paste made by mixing and grinding alloy powder containing silver, tin, copper, and zinc with mercury in a certain weight ratio. It solidifies and hardens after filling. The characteristics are firmness and durability.

3. Composite resin material. The characteristic is that the color is close to that of real teeth and it is more beautiful, but the resin material may shrink and small gaps may appear. These small gaps may make the teeth sensitive and prone to tooth decay. The resin composite material may also absorb pigments in food and beverages and turn yellow over time.

It should be noted that you should not brush your teeth for the first three days after filling to prevent the filling material from falling off. Secondly, the diet should be light. Do not eat fibrous vegetables or lean meat in the near future to avoid getting stuck between your teeth.
