The difference between fading and bleaching hair

Hair fading and bleaching are different. Hair fading can be very damaging to the hair. If you do not take care of your hair in time, it can cause serious damage to the hair follicles, and may even cause dry follicles, split ends, and easy hair breakage. Bleaching with powder can also cause damage to the hair, but less than other methods, and can dye the hair more thoroughly.

To lighten the hair color, you can use bleaching powder to achieve the purpose of fading. You can also use 0/00 fading cream to achieve the same fading purpose.

Note: Hair fading is very damaging to the hair. If fading is not necessary, it is not recommended to do this to your hair. If your hair is severely damaged, do not fade it, otherwise it will cause your hair to become dry, rough, split, or even break.

How to bleach hair with bleaching powder:

1. Check hair quality

Hair quality diagnosis is a necessary step before bleaching hair. Only by checking the hair quality thoroughly can you know how to mix the bleaching powder and apply the lotion.

2. No need to wash your hair

Make sure your hair is dry before any hair dyeing. If you have washed your hair before bleaching, the dye will cause itching and discomfort when it contacts your scalp. If you do not wash your hair before any hair dyeing, you will rarely feel this.

Normal mixing needs to be determined according to the quality of the hair. For example, the mixing ratio of Wella's bleaching powder can be adjusted from 1+1, 1+1.5, 1+2 to 1+3. Ultimately, it depends on the customer's hair quality and the color they want.

4. The proportion of hydrogen peroxide milk

The effect can only be achieved by mixing hydrogen peroxide and bleaching powder together, and the concentration of hydrogen peroxide is very important. After learning more about it, I found that most hairdressers use high-concentration hydrogen peroxide for hair treatment, but they forget a very important principle: during hair operations, the higher the concentration of hydrogen peroxide used, the greater the damage to the hair. Generally speaking, the desired color can be achieved by using 6% hydrogen peroxide with bleaching powder. In some individual cases, you can choose to use 9% or 12% commercial hydrogen peroxide, which is generally not used when doing hair. And it should be noted that only 6% hydrogen peroxide can come into contact with the scalp, others are not allowed!

The so-called hair bleaching process does not mean to make the hair color as lighter as possible. It is not the case that the lighter the hair color, the easier it is to color. This is a misconception and is the main factor causing hair damage. If you want to dye your hair to a color that is more than 4 shades lighter than the base color, you only need to make the hair color 1-2 shades lighter than the target color. There is no need to make it the target color. If your hair has been dyed with dark artificial dyes and you want to continue to lighten the color, you will need to make the color of the bleached hair 1-2 degrees higher than the target color before you can color it. Therefore, during the bleaching process, lightening is a difficult technique to master and requires more practice and mastery.

6. Correct operation
